Easy 3-Step Installation
Installation requires no specialist machinery. Step 1: Verify your shaft has a .600" outside butt diameter. Step 2: Apply shaft-bonding epoxy to the tapered end and slide it firmly into the shaft butt. Step 3: Allow the epoxy to fully cure, then trim the protruding section to your target playing length using a shaft-cutting saw before re-gripping.
Swingweight Awareness
Adding length at the butt end will increase the club's swingweight. As a general rule, every half-inch of extension adds approximately three swingweight points. Plan your target length accordingly, and note that extending a steel-shafted club (other than a putter) by more than 2" is not recommended, as it may affect shaft integrity and performance.
Correct Diameter Is Critical
Before ordering, always measure the outside diameter of your shaft's butt end with a shaft-gauge or caliper. The .600" variant suits the vast majority of steel iron shafts — including most True Temper and similar profiles. If your shaft measures .580", Masters Golf also offers a matching .580" extension piece for a precise fit.
