BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® Technology
At the heart of the ECCO BIOM H5 is the BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® philosophy, developed through decades of anatomical research. The construction of the shoe is built to mirror the natural shape and movement of the foot, encouraging a biomechanically correct stride with every step. ECCO Performance Leather

It is also highly resistant to scuffs and abrasion, maintaining its appearance round after round. FLUIDFORM™ Direct Comfort Technology
FLUIDFORM™ is ECCO's proprietary midsole and outsole bonding process, where cushioning material is injected and moulded directly to the upper without the use of adhesives. This creates a seamless, one-piece construction that is both lighter and more durable than traditional shoe-building methods. The direct bonding also means the cushioning layer conforms precisely to the contours of the last, delivering a more accurate, responsive underfoot feel. Golfers benefit from reduced foot fatigue, improved energy return with each stride, and a noticeably lighter shoe overall without sacrificing structural integrity.
ETTS – ECCO Terra Traction System Outsole
The ECCO Terra Traction System outsole is purpose-designed to provide outstanding grip and stability across the varied surfaces found on a golf course – from tight fairway lies and firm links-style turf to softer, wetter parkland conditions. The multi-directional traction lugs engage the ground during the swing to prevent slipping at the critical moment of impact, while the flexible zones in the sole allow natural foot flex during the walking motion. The spikeless configuration means the shoe can transition seamlessly from the course to the clubhouse, the car park and beyond, without the clatter and potential damage associated with traditional metal spike footwear.
Removable Ortholite® Insole
The ECCO BIOM H5 is fitted with a removable Ortholite® footbed that provides an additional layer of cushioning and moisture management directly underfoot. Ortholite® open-cell foam is renowned in the footwear industry for its ability to wick moisture away from the foot, resist compression over time and maintain loft round after round – properties that make it far superior to standard EVA insoles. Because the insole is fully removable, it can be taken out for airing after a round, machine-washed to maintain hygiene, or replaced with a custom orthotic for golfers requiring specific biomechanical support.
