BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® Technology
ECCO's BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® technology is at the heart of the BIOM H5, designed to work in harmony with your foot's natural biomechanics. It encourages the foot to move as nature intended – promoting a balanced, efficient stride with every step and swing. The technology supports the arch and forefoot during the critical push-off phase, helping to generate a more dynamic, powerful swing. At the same time, it maintains stability throughout the entire motion, reducing fatigue and improving overall performance across 18 holes.
ECCO-TEX Waterproof Membrane
The ECCO-TEX waterproof membrane is integrated directly into the upper construction of the BIOM H5, providing a reliable barrier against rain, morning dew, and wet rough. Unlike traditional treatments that wear off over time, the membrane is a permanent structural feature, ensuring consistent waterproof protection throughout the life of the shoe. Golfers can confidently walk through wet fairways and soggy lies without worrying about soggy socks or cold feet. The membrane is also breathable, helping to regulate internal temperature and reduce moisture build-up during warmer rounds.
ECCO Performance Leather
The upper of the BIOM H5 is crafted from ECCO's own Performance Leather, tanned and finished at ECCO's dedicated tanneries to exacting quality standards. It moulds naturally to the shape of the foot over time, improving fit and comfort with continued wear. FLUIDFORM™ Direct Comfort Technology
FLUIDFORM™ is ECCO's proprietary midsole construction process, in which the cushioning material is bonded directly to the upper and outsole without the use of glues or cements. This direct injection method creates a seamless, lightweight structure that is both more durable and more comfortable than traditionally assembled soles. The result is a shoe that feels noticeably lighter on the foot, with responsive cushioning that absorbs impact during the walk and returns energy with each step. FLUIDFORM™ also ensures that the midsole retains its cushioning properties over an extended period, maintaining comfort season after season.
ECCO Terra Traction System (ETTS)
The ECCO Terra Traction System outsole is specifically engineered for golf, featuring a multi-directional traction pattern that provides a secure, confident stance on fairways, rough, and slopes alike. The spikeless lug design channels water and debris away from underfoot, maintaining grip even in slippery conditions. Because there are no traditional metal or plastic spikes, the ETTS outsole is also comfortable for walking on hard surfaces, making these shoes genuinely versatile for travel days and clubhouse use. The rubber compound used in the outsole is selected for its long-term abrasion resistance, ensuring the traction pattern remains effective through many seasons of play.
Removable Ortholite® Insole
The BIOM H5 is fitted with a removable and washable Ortholite® insole, providing an additional layer of comfort and hygiene that elevates the wearing experience. Ortholite® foam is renowned in the footwear industry for its open-cell structure, which resists compression over time and remains breathable and cushioned even after repeated use. Because the insole is removable, it can be taken out for washing and airing between rounds, helping to keep the shoe fresh and odour-free. Golfers with custom orthotics can also replace the standard insole with their own prescription footbeds for a fully personalised fit.
