ChromoSkin™ Leather Upper
The ChromoSkin™ leather used on the Pro/SLX upper is engineered to deliver an exceptional combination of flexibility, light weight and long-lasting durability. The material is 100% waterproof, keeping your feet dry in wet morning conditions or after a heavy dew. Unlike traditional full-grain leather, ChromoSkin™ requires minimal break-in time and moves naturally with your foot from the very first round. PWR TRAX Traction System
The PWR TRAX outsole system is FootJoy's proprietary approach to spikeless grip, engineered to provide the advanced traction and stability that golfers demand throughout the swing. Strategically positioned traction elements are designed to engage the turf at the most critical points of the swing sequence — from address through to follow-through — giving you a secure, planted base without the need for traditional metal spikes. The outsole geometry also performs reliably on paths, clubhouse floors and practice areas, making the Pro/SLX a true all-day, all-surface shoe.
Pro/SLX™ Carbon Liner
At the heart of the Pro/SLX's performance story is the moulded carbon fibre liner that runs the length of the shoe. This lightweight structural element dramatically increases torsional rigidity, ensuring the shoe does not twist or flex unpredictably under the forces generated during the downswing and impact. Greater stability through the foot means better energy transfer to the ball and reduced fatigue over a full 18 holes. Shaped X25 Outsole
The Shaped X25 outsole works in harmony with the PWR TRAX traction elements to deliver a stable, responsive platform across all terrain. The X25 geometry is specifically contoured to match the natural shape of the foot, reducing pressure points and distributing body weight evenly across the contact area. A deeper heel cup integrates with the FitBed® to provide superior heel lock and cushioning, keeping your foot securely positioned within the shoe throughout the swing. LASER-PLUS-LAST Fit
FootJoy's LASER-PLUS-LAST is the anatomical last (the mould over which the shoe is built) used in the Pro/SLX, and it defines the shoe's distinctive fit character. The toe box is fully rounded, offering ample room across all five toes without the pinching that narrower lasts can create. The forefoot follows a standard width profile across the entire ball-of-foot region, transitioning to a slightly tapered heel for a secure, locked-in feel at the back of the shoe. A deeper heel seat area optimises the FitBed® cushioning in the most impact-critical part of the foot, making the Pro/SLX equally suitable for golfers with a regular arch as well as those who benefit from the wider fitting options available in this model.
