Built around Srixon's third-generation Rebound Frame technology and a full-titanium body, it delivers explosive ball speed at impact while keeping spin low and workability high. Most drivers feature a single flex zone in the face. Rebound Frame goes further by adding a second flexible zone — a ring of thin titanium set back from the face in the driver body. At impact, Zone 1 (the face) deforms inwardly while Zone 2 deforms outwardly, like a spring within a spring. When both zones snap back simultaneously, the compounded energy transfer is far more powerful than any single-flex design. The result is a 10% larger high-COR area compared to the original ZX7, translating to a minimum of two miles per hour of additional ball speed across the face — and more distance on every drive.
The ZX7 Mk II face is forged from Srixon's proprietary Ti51AF titanium alloy — an advanced material that is both exceptionally strong and remarkably light. This combination allows the face to be made thinner than ever before, enabling greater flex at impact without sacrificing durability. The unique alloy also contributes to the driver's crisp, solid sound at impact that skilled players appreciate. Less mass in the face means more discretionary weight can be positioned strategically throughout the head for optimised CG placement and launch characteristics.
Rather than adopting a carbon composite crown — a common shortcut in modern driver design — Srixon engineered the Star Frame Crown to achieve the same weight savings while actively contributing to ball speed. A complex series of internal ridges and latticework allows the titanium crown to be thinned to as little as 0.45 mm (roughly one-third the thickness of a dime's edge). This structural architecture provides the rigidity needed to support Rebound Frame's energy dynamics, while simultaneously freeing up discretionary mass to be repositioned for each model's ideal spin and launch profile.
The face of the ZX7 Mk II features an intricate variable-thickness pattern that is thinner and more flexible across a wider area than conventional driver faces. Unique ridges within the face structure enhance the high-COR zone from heel to toe, improving how energy is reflected into the ball on off-centre shots. This technology works hand-in-hand with Rebound Frame to ensure that even imperfect impacts produce competitive ball speeds. The expanded high-COR zone means that the margin for error is meaningfully wider than it looks from the driver's compact, players-oriented profile.
The ZX7 Mk II is shipped in a tour-standard neutral setting with an 8g weight in the heel and a 4g weight in the toe. Swapping these positions shifts the CG laterally, adjusting your left-to-right shot shape by 5–6 yards. For more aggressive customisation, optional weights ranging from 2g to 14g are available separately — allowing horizontal ball-flight adjustment of up to 20 yards. The adjustable hosel sleeve further allows you to dial in loft, lie angle, and face angle independently, so every launch variable can be precisely matched to your swing and course conditions.
The ZX7 Mk II wears a compact, 460cc silhouette with a taller face that projects confidence to skilled players at address. Srixon classifies this driver as low-spin and mid-launch, with a neutral-to-slight-fade bias in the stock weight configuration.
