Description

Callaway Quantum Max Fast Men's Fairway Wood + Headcover

The Callaway Quantum Max Fast is the lightest fairway wood in the Quantum lineup, engineered for golfers with moderate to medium swing speeds who want an easy launch, higher ball flight, and consistent performance without requiring a powerful swing. From the clubhead to the grip, every component is designed to reduce swing effort and help players generate more clubhead speed, maximise carry distance, and deliver a smooth, stable experience from a variety of lies — whether off the fairway or out of light rough.

Key Features

Ultra-Lightweight, Easy-to-Swing Design — every component from head to grip is built to reduce swing effort and help generate speed.
Easy Launch & High Ball Flight — shallow face profile combined with high MOI promotes faster face opening for more carry and softer landings.
Step Sole Design — innovative sole profile reduces turf interaction for clean contact and keeps the face square at impact.
Next-Gen Ai-Optimized Face — AI-engineered face flexes precisely across the entire hitting surface for consistent speed, spin, and launch on every shot.
OptiFit4 Hosel Adjustment (3W–5W) — independent loft and lie settings across 8 configurations let you fine-tune trajectory and shot shape.
Mitsubishi Chemical Vanquish Graphite Shaft — ultra-light R2 (A-flex) shaft optimised for players with moderate swing speeds.
Lamkin Crossline 360 Grip — reliable all-weather grip for a confident, secure hold through the swing.
Headcover Included — protective headcover included with every club.

Ideal For

Golfers with low to moderate swing speeds seeking a higher launch angle and longer carry distance.
Players who prefer a lighter, easier-to-swing fairway wood that requires less physical effort.
Anyone who wants more consistent strikes and a stable, penetrating ball flight from the fairway or light rough.

Technology in Detail

Ultra-Lightweight, Easy-to-Swing Design

The Quantum Max Fast is Callaway's lightest fairway wood, purpose-built for players who benefit from a lighter overall setup. Every gram is carefully considered — from the lightweight graphite shaft to the optimised clubhead and grip — so that the entire club works together to reduce the physical effort required to swing. The result is noticeably higher clubhead speed even at moderate swing tempos, translating directly into more distance and better consistency round after round. This design is ideal for seniors, beginners, and any golfer whose swing speed sits in the moderate range and who wants to unlock more performance without changing their swing mechanics.

Next-Gen Ai-Optimized Face

The face of the Quantum Max Fast has been engineered using advanced artificial intelligence modelling to deliver consistent performance across the entire hitting surface. Rather than optimising only the centre of the face, Callaway's AI tools analyse real-world impact patterns from fairway wood shots and adjust the thickness and flex of every millimetre of the face accordingly. The outcome is improved ball speed, optimised spin rates, a more forgiving launch angle, and tighter dispersion — even on off-centre strikes that would typically result in distance and accuracy loss. This technology levels the playing field for moderate-speed swingers who don't always find the sweet spot.

Step Sole Design

The Step Sole is a key innovation in the Quantum Max Fast that fundamentally improves the interaction between the clubhead and the turf. The redesigned sole profile reduces the contact area between the sole and the ground, allowing the club to glide through the turf more efficiently and exit cleanly without digging or twisting. A newly shaped heel section provides additional stability at the moment of impact, helping to keep the face square through the hitting zone. The combined effect is cleaner ball striking, more consistent centre contact, and a more predictable trajectory whether you're playing off a tight fairway lie or navigating light rough.

OptiFit4 Hosel Adjustment (3W & 5W)

The 3-wood and 5-wood models of the Quantum Max Fast feature Callaway's OptiFit4 adjustable hosel, which provides golfers with meaningful control over their ball flight and shot shape. With eight total configurations offering independent loft and lie adjustments, players can dial in their preferred trajectory — whether that means a higher, softer flight for stopping power on greens, a more penetrating draw-biased setup, or a neutral configuration for maximum accuracy. This level of adjustability ensures the club can grow with your game and be fine-tuned as your swing evolves, making it a genuinely versatile long-game tool for moderate-speed players.
