It's BIG and built for one thing: sending bombs down the middle. The Cleveland Launcher XL 2 Draw Men's Driver delivers more distance, forgiveness, and consistency than ever before — and since the Draw model is specifically engineered to help keep your slice in check, all you have to do is step up and swing big. Packed with an XL blend of the latest distance and forgiveness technologies, including the AI-designed MainFrame XL Face and the dual-flex Rebound Frame, the Launcher XL 2 Draw is the must-hit driver for any golfer looking to go longer, find more fairways, and play with greater confidence from the first tee.
The Launcher XL 2 Draw's most significant advancement is powered by artificial intelligence. Cleveland's R&D team used AI to simulate thousands of ball strikes across the face, evaluating performance characteristics with each pass and refining the face geometry through multiple iterations. The result is an intricate variable-thickness face pattern that vastly expands the high-COR area, enlarges and reshapes the sweet spot, and improves energy transfer across the entire hitting surface. The AI-driven process also repositions weight low and deep in the clubhead, optimising the centre of gravity for a high-launching ball flight with added forgiveness and consistency — even on strikes that miss the centre.
Cleveland has reworked the XL Head Design and its weighting setup from the ground up to deliver even more forgiveness and consistency than the previous generation. An extremely thin crown supported by a strong, lightweight internal framework allows significant amounts of discretionary mass to be repositioned low and deep in the clubhead. The result is an optimised centre of gravity that promotes a long, high-launching ball flight with a claimed 2% increase in heel-to-toe MOI and a remarkable 12% gain in high-to-low MOI compared to the prior model. The full 460 cc head profile inspires confidence at address while delivering the stability to hold your line on off-centre hits.
Unlike conventional drivers that rely on a single flexible face zone, Rebound Frame adds a second ring of flexibility positioned just behind the face, supported by extra stiffness further back in the clubhead — creating a spring-within-a-spring effect. At impact, these dual flex zones activate simultaneously: the face flexes inward, the rigid second layer redirects energy rearward, and the flexible third layer absorbs and redirects even more energy forward into the ball. The net result is an exceptional increase in the amount of energy transferred to the ball, generating higher ball speeds and amplified distance on every shot, including off-centre strikes.
The Launcher XL 2 Draw features a purpose-built, reworked chassis that sets it apart from the standard XL 2 model. Weight has been shifted toward the heel and the face angle has been adjusted to a slightly closed position at address, working together to counteract the most common miss for amateur golfers — the slice. The draw bias promotes a right-to-left ball flight (for right-handed players), helping the ball find the fairway with far less effort than a swing change would require. Combined with the fully adjustable hosel, players can dial in the exact amount of draw they need as their swing evolves over time, making the XL 2 Draw a versatile long-term investment.
Action Mass CB is a counterbalancing system built directly into the club. An 8-gram weight is placed inside the shaft at the very top of the grip, near your hands. The perceived weight in the hands makes the clubhead feel lighter and more manageable, encouraging a more stable, controlled takeaway and a better-paced backswing. Through the downswing, the counterbalance promotes a more inside-out swing path and a squarer clubface through impact — directly addressing two of the most common causes of a slice. The combined effect can also increase clubhead speed for players with moderate swing tempos, translating directly to added distance.
The Launcher XL 2 Draw comes equipped with one of the most versatile adjustable hosels available on the market. The sleeve allows loft adjustment from 9° up to 12° in half-degree increments, and simultaneously fine-tunes lie angle and face angle — offering 12 distinct positions in total. Golfers can increase loft for higher launch, decrease it for a more penetrating trajectory, or subtly open and close the face to fine-tune their shot shape. The four primary settings are clearly marked on the sleeve at 9°, 10.5°, 12°, and 10.5° Flat, with intermediate positions visible on the shaft tip for easy, reliable adjustment (wrench sold separately).
