At the heart of the Cobra KING Vintage Widesport is an aluminum face insert engineered with SIK Golf's patented Descending Loft Technology (DLT). The insert features four flat milled surfaces, each descending by one degree of loft from the top of the face (4°) down to the bottom (1°). When you press the shaft forward at impact, ball contact shifts higher on the face; when shaft lean is neutral or slightly backward, contact is lower. Because each zone carries the correct loft for that contact height, the putter delivers a consistent launch angle of approximately 1.5 degrees on every stroke — regardless of your attack angle or ball position. The result is a true, skid-free, end-over-end roll that starts on line immediately and maintains its path all the way to the cup.
The Widesport's oversized blade profile is precision-crafted from 304 stainless steel — a material prized in putter manufacturing for its excellent feel, superior durability, and resistance to corrosion. The wider, chunkier blade shape raises the putter's moment of inertia (MOI), making it significantly more resistant to twisting on mishits compared to a traditional narrow blade. A single alignment sightline is integrated cleanly into the top rail, giving you a fast, reliable reference point to square the face to your target line every time you address the ball. Cobra equips the Widesport with two 10 g sole weights mounted in the sole of the head, providing a baseline head weight of 360 g. Each weight can be adjusted up to +15 g or −5 g by swapping in heavier or lighter optional weights (available in 5 g, 15 g, 20 g, and 25 g — sold separately), enabling a combined head weight adjustment range of up to +30 g or −10 g. Heavier weights increase stability and can help slow down a too-quick stroke on fast greens, while lighter weights suit players who prefer a livelier, more sensitive feel. This level of customization means the Widesport can be dialed in to match your individual tempo, green speed preferences, and course conditions.
The Widesport uses a single bend hosel design, which positions the shaft directly in line with the center of the face and creates a face-balanced setup (0° toe hang). This geometry is engineered specifically for golfers who employ a straight-back, straight-through putting stroke — the most common stroke type on tour and among recreational players alike. With the face balanced, there is no rotational bias built into the head, so the putter naturally wants to swing straight through the ball without opening or closing.
