The Golf Pride MCC Plus4 is a tour-proven, New Decade® MultiCompound hybrid grip engineered for golfers who want more power without sacrificing comfort or control. Combining a larger lower hand with Brushed Cotton Technology (BCT®) cord in the upper hand, it delivers a dual-traction performance solution from tee to green. Designed to replicate the setup preference of Tour professionals who add tape build-up beneath their grips, the MCC Plus4 brings that same advantage to every golfer. This Standard-size variant in the distinctive green/gold colorway is suitable for irons, hybrids, and woods.
The MCC Plus4 lower hand has a 4.6% larger outer diameter compared to the original MCC grip. This reduced taper throughout the grip encourages lighter grip pressure, less hand tension, and more fluidity throughout the swing - translating directly into greater clubhead speed and power at impact. This feature mirrors the setup used by over 70% of Tour professionals who traditionally build up their grips with extra tape wraps.
The upper hand section uses Golf Pride's exclusive Brushed Cotton Technology (BCT®) cord, which fuses moisture-wicking cotton fibers into a soft rubber matrix. This construction ensures the upper hand maintains maximum traction and stability regardless of weather conditions - whether playing in rain, heat, or humidity. The cord compound also adds a firm, reassuring feel for precise swing control.
The MCC Plus4 features two uniquely formulated compounds that work independently for each hand. The upper hand cord compound provides stability and moisture control, while the lower hand soft rubber compound is optimized for feel and responsiveness. Together, they create the performance of two specialist grips combined into one seamless design.
Pebbled micro-texture and plus-sign pattern elements are strategically distributed across the grip surface to maximize hand coverage and traction. This placement ensures a secure connection at every point of hand contact, improving consistency and confidence across all swing types and conditions.
