The JPX925 Hot Metal Pro takes the performance of an already industry-leading iron franchise to the next level. The CORTECH design combines the strength and speed of a nickel chromoly build with a re-engineered Contour Ellipse face, delivering consistent ball speed across the hitting area that is longer and more predictable than ever before. Tungsten weighting positioned low in the head adds height and landing angle, making it easier to stick precise approach shots into the green. CORTECH design reengineers the iron face with a Contour Ellipse profile that reshapes the effective hitting area. A completely reworked multi-thickness face increases centre-face ball speed compared with earlier Hot Metal generations. The result is a larger area of the face that performs like the middle of the club.
A seamless cup face wraps the face insert around a thinned perimeter, letting more of the face flex at impact. That extra rebound keeps ball speed high even on strikes away from the centre of the face. It is one of the main reasons the Hot Metal Pro keeps its distance consistent across the hitting area.
Variable thickness in the sole extends the flexing area of the head beyond the face itself. The wider flex zone adds another source of ball speed on top of the face technology. Together with the CORTECH face, it is built to add extra yardage without changing the club's compact look.
Dense tungsten weighting sits low in the head of the scoring irons, pulling the centre of gravity down and back. That produces a lower sweet spot, a higher launch and a steeper landing angle into the green. Approach shots hit with these irons are designed to stop faster once they land.
Harmonic Impact Technology shapes the internal geometry of the head to control how it flexes and rebounds at the moment of impact. The tuning is aimed at giving feedback that feels consistent whether the strike is centred or slightly off. It works alongside the Acoustic Sound Ribs to shape the overall feel of the club.
Acoustic Sound Ribs are tuned to a specific vibration pattern inside the head. The tuning is designed to produce a solid, explosive sound at impact rather than a hollow or tinny click. It gives the Hot Metal Pro the same acoustic feedback golfers expect from a premium players iron.
The face and hosel are built from Chromoly 4140M, chosen for its high strength-to-weight ratio. That strength lets Mizuno keep the face thin and fast while leaving the hosel bendable enough for a fitter to adjust loft and lie. It is part of how the Hot Metal Pro combines forgiveness with a compact, players-style shape.
A White Satin Brush finish covers the head in a clean, non-glare coating. It is built to hold up to regular play while keeping a bright, neutral look that pairs well with any shaft or grip choice. The finish matches the more refined, compact profile Mizuno designed the Hot Metal Pro around.
