The MKids MK Lite Junior Golf Half Set is the highest-specification junior club package on the market, engineered specifically for young players from the very first swing. Sized for a player height of approximately 109–119 cm (45"/115 cm set), this left-hand yellow set delivers the perfect combination of club length, shaft flex, grip thickness, head size, and loft — all tuned to match the strength and swing speed of children aged 5 to 7. Every element of the MK Lite range has been developed to build confidence, promote correct technique, and give junior golfers the best possible start in the game.
All MKLite woods are fitted with Grafalloy ProLaunch® graphite shafts and MKLite Tour Style Grips of the appropriate thickness for the club length. The open-stock MKLite woods range covers the following club types:
The SLA putter included in this set is designed to suit a slight arc putting stroke — the most natural and commonly developed putting arc for beginner and junior golfers. Its compact head and junior-length shaft make it easy to control around the greens, encouraging a smooth, pendulum motion from the very start.
Each MKLite size accommodates a height tolerance of approximately 10 cm — statistically equivalent to around 18 months of typical growth. This means the Yellow 45" set (for player heights 109–119 cm) can be used comfortably across roughly two full golf seasons before stepping up to the next size. MKids offers six progressively sized sets covering children from age 5 to 14, so there is always a perfectly matched club set available regardless of where in their development the young golfer is.
MKids worked in close collaboration with Grafalloy® — world leaders in golf shaft technology — to develop a dedicated junior shaft optimised through launch monitor testing. The ProLaunch® graphite shaft is tuned to promote a high launch angle and high ball flight, making it ideal for younger players with a slower swing speed. Crucially, the shaft achieves this without excessive flex, delivering far greater consistency and control in every shot. The result is a wood that goes up and far — building confidence from the very first round.
The MKLite Launch Control Shaft (LCX) is a purpose-built graphite iron shaft designed to create a high launch angle and optimal trajectory for younger, developing golfers. Unlike off-the-shelf junior shafts, the LCX is calibrated to match the slower swing speeds typical of the 5–7 age group, promoting clean, high-flying iron shots with great distance and consistency. Lightweight graphite construction also reduces overall club weight, making the irons easier to swing without sacrificing feel or feedback at impact.
The MKLite Tour Style Grip is a proprietary MKids® creation — a tour-quality grip produced in a range of sizes that scale precisely with each club length in the range. Sized correctly for small hands, the grip encourages a light, relaxed hold rather than a tense, overpowering squeeze. This is critical for developing a fundamentally correct grip early in a golfer's journey. The grip delivers exceptional contact and stability without requiring the junior golfer to grip the club tightly, fostering natural hand action and long-term technique development.
MKLite irons are crafted with heads that are 90% of the size of adult club heads — large enough to be forgiving, but appropriately scaled for a child's strength and body proportions. The stainless steel heads are lightened for ease of swing and feature enhanced (increased) loft angles to help young golfers get the ball airborne easily and consistently. Club weights are progressively graduated across the set — shorter clubs are lighter — ensuring the swing feels natural at every length and builds proper sequencing habits from the start.
The yellow stand bag included with this set is colour-matched to the Yellow (45"/115 cm) size tier, making it instantly recognisable and easy for a child to identify as their own. Built to a quality standard second to none in the junior category, the bag features a sturdy stand mechanism, generous storage pockets for accessories and clothing, and a comfortable carry system suited to young golfers. The open-stock MKLite club range means the set can be expanded with additional clubs — such as a driver, hybrid, or additional irons — as the junior's game develops and skill levels increase.

The MKids MK Lite range is designed as a modular system. Individual clubs — drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, additional irons, wedges, and putters — are all available separately as open stock in the Yellow 45" specification. This means as your junior golfer progresses and wants to add more clubs to their bag, each new club will perfectly match the length, flex, grip size, and weight of the existing set. There is no need to buy a completely new set just to add one or two clubs — MKids grows with the player.
Fit is the single most important factor when selecting junior golf clubs, and MKids have built their entire range around it. To find the correct set size, measure the distance from the ground to the top of your child's head while they are wearing golf shoes or trainers (the measurement must be taken in footwear). This figure corresponds directly to the correct MKids colour size. If the measurement falls between two sizes, always move up to the next colour. The six MKids sizes — Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, Blue, and Graphite — cover player heights from approximately 110 cm to 165 cm, spanning ages 5 through 14.
