Description

MKids Lite Junior Yellow 45" (115cm/5-7Y) junior fairway wood

The MKids MKLite® Fairway Wood is purpose-built for young golfers aged 5–7 years (player height approx. 115 cm / 45"), offering the right combination of club length, loft, and playability to give junior players the confidence and distance they need to enjoy the game. Available in three colour-coded shaft-length variants — with yellow identifying the 45" / 115 cm size — it is one of the highest-specification junior clubs on the market, featuring a Tour-quality grip and the MKLite® Launch Control shaft (LCX) as standard. The low-profile 150 cc head and generous 25° loft work together to maximise ball flight, distance, and shot-to-shot consistency for the smallest golfers taking their first steps on the course.

Key Features

Colour-coded sizing system: Yellow colour identifies the 45" (115 cm) shaft-length variant, making it easy for parents and coaches to select the correct fit for players aged 5–7.
150 cc low-profile head: Compact 150 cc club head is sized precisely for junior golfers, promoting clean contact and a confidence-inspiring address position.
25° loft for maximum distance: Generous loft angle launches the ball high and easily, maximising carry distance and consistency for younger, slower swing speeds.
MKLite® Tour Style Grip: Junior-specific grip designed by MKids® to encourage the correct golfing hand position, promoting light grip pressure and outstanding stability throughout the swing.
MKLite® Launch Control Shaft (LCX): Specially engineered junior shaft creates a high launch angle and ideal ball trajectory, delivering great ball flight and distance for smaller players.
Right-hand orientation: Club is built for right-handed junior golfers as standard.
Part of the MKLite® system: Integrates seamlessly with the full MKLite® range — drivers, hybrids, irons, and putters — all sharing progressive sizing, flex, and weighting for cohesive development.

Technology in Detail

Colour-Coded Shaft Length System

MKids® uses a simple three-colour system — yellow, orange, and red — to denote each shaft-length tier within the MKLite® range. Yellow identifies the shortest option at 45" (115 cm), matching players of approximately 5–7 years of age. This colour-coding removes guesswork for parents and coaches, ensuring young golfers are always playing with a club that suits their height and physical development. Choosing the correct length is fundamental to building a consistent, repeatable swing from the earliest stages of the game.

150 cc Low-Profile Fairway Head

The MKLite® Fairway head carries a volume of 150 cc, carefully sized to suit the physical strength and swing speed of younger junior players without sacrificing forgiveness. Its low-profile construction keeps the centre of gravity close to the ground, promoting an easy, high-launching ball flight from the fairway or light rough. The proportionally correct head size — relative to an adult fairway wood — ensures the club looks natural at address, building the visual confidence that is so important for beginners. At 25° of loft, the fairway delivers consistent carry and a steep enough angle of descent for the ball to hold the short game areas of the course.

MKLite® Tour Style Grip

The MKLite® Tour Style Grip is created exclusively by MKids® and is available in progressively larger sizes that grow alongside the club length options. It is engineered to help young golfers develop the correct golfing grip from day one — an investment in technique that pays dividends for years. The grip's construction encourages a light, controlled grip pressure, which is the foundation of a smooth, tension-free golf swing, while at the same time delivering outstanding stability throughout impact. The tactile surface gives junior players the feel and feedback they need to improve with every round.

MKLite® Launch Control Shaft — LCX

The MKLite® Launch Control Shaft (LCX) is the technical centrepiece of the entire MKLite® club range. Engineered specifically for the strength, tempo, and swing speed of junior players, it is designed to create a high launch angle from the first moment of impact, setting the ball on the ideal trajectory for maximum distance. The shaft flex is precisely calibrated for younger, developing golfers — not simply a cut-down adult shaft — which means energy transfer through impact is far more efficient. The result is greater distance, a more repeatable ball flight, and significantly improved shot-to-shot consistency that builds confidence and accelerates skill development.
