Combining the revolutionary Ai-DUAL dual-layer insert with deeper, more aggressive Forward Roll Design (FRD) grooves, this putter delivers exceptionally consistent ball speed across the entire face, an immediate forward roll, and outstanding head stability thanks to a high-MOI mallet construction. The Ai-DUAL Insert represents a genuine leap forward in putter face technology. Designed using Callaway's industry-leading artificial intelligence, this dual-layer urethane insert combines a soft outer layer with a firm inner layer — a combination once thought impossible to engineer in a single face insert.

The idea was born from the desire to unite the best attributes of Odyssey's most proven inserts: the face-speed consistency of Ai-ONE and the optimal forward roll dynamics of Microhinge. The result delivers consistent ball speed across the entire face for superior distance control, enhanced forward roll up and down the face, and an amazingly responsive feel at impact.

New FRD Grooves (Forward Roll Design)

The redesigned Forward Roll Design grooves are deeper and more aggressive than any previous Odyssey groove pattern. Set at a 19° slope, they work in direct conjunction with the dual-layer insert construction to promote an immediate, stable forward roll across the full face — both up and down the face surface.

This earlier engagement into true forward roll means the ball gets on its intended line faster, reducing skid and improving consistency on any putt length. Combined with the Ai-DUAL insert, the FRD grooves represent Odyssey's most effective roll-optimisation system to date.

SL 90 Counterbalanced Steel Shaft

The Odyssey SL 90 is a lightweight steel shaft featuring approximately 20 g of counterbalance weight positioned in the butt end of the grip. Odyssey's own testing consistently demonstrates that this counterbalanced configuration helps golfers produce more consistent stroke tempo and improved repeatability from putt to putt.

By shifting a small amount of weight toward the grip end, the SL 90 reduces unwanted oscillation during the stroke and encourages a more pendulum-like motion — exactly what face-balanced mallet putters are designed to complement.

Odyssey Pistol Grip

The Odyssey Ai-DUAL Pistol grip is a midsize pistol-style grip in a proven size and shape that works for a broad range of golfers. Its classic taper and comfortable hand-feel encourage a relaxed, consistent grip pressure throughout the stroke, which is critical for repeatable distance control on the greens.

Depending on the selected variant, this putter is available with the standard Odyssey Pistol grip or the Slim Pistol 90 (SL 90) grip — the latter pairing specifically with the Slim Pistol 90 shaft configuration on the 32" right-hand model.
