The performance polyester construction actively transports perspiration away from the skin through capillary action, spreading moisture across a wider surface area so it can evaporate quickly. This moisture transport system means that even during intense physical activity — sprinting, training drills, or competitive sport — the shirt manages sweat efficiently. Boys stay more comfortable and less distracted, allowing them to perform at their best without the discomfort of a damp, clinging shirt weighing them down.
Many UA Tech™ shirts — including this one — are made with recycled, traceable polyester that gives post-consumer plastic bottles a meaningful second life. Approximately 5 plastic bottles are re-used per shirt, diverting waste from landfill and reducing the demand for virgin raw materials. The use of traceable polyester means Under Armour can verify the sustainability credentials of the supply chain. Performance is never sacrificed: the recycled fiber delivers the same quick-dry, moisture-wicking, and soft-feel characteristics as conventional polyester.
The relaxed, loose silhouette is intentionally cut to give boys plenty of room to move in every direction — reaching, throwing, stretching, or simply sitting comfortably in class. Raglan sleeves run from the collar to the cuff in a single diagonal seam, eliminating the traditional shoulder seam that can cause friction or restrict arm motion. This construction detail is particularly beneficial during overhead movements or wide arm swings common in sports like basketball, football, and tennis.
