Winn Dri-Tac Lite MIDSIZE grip, dark grey
Winn Dri-Tac Lite MIDSIZE grip, dark grey
The Winn Dri-Tac Lite is the lightweight evolution of Winn's best-selling Dri-Tac series — one of the most popular golf grips on the market. Built from proprietary WinnDry polymer material and engineered under the WinnLite philosophy, this grip weighs just 23 g, making it significantly lighter than a standard rubber grip. That reduced weight translates directly into improved clubhead feel, better swing tempo, and more consistent contact at impact. In Midsize, the Dri-Tac Lite suits golfers who prefer a slightly larger diameter for extra comfort and reduced grip pressure, as well as players managing hand discomfort or arthritis. Available in dark grey, it fits irons, hybrids, and fairway woods.
Key Features
- WinnLite Technology: At just 23 g, this grip is 40–50% lighter than the standard Dri-Tac, helping improve clubhead feel and swing tempo.
- WinnDry Polymer Material: Proprietary polymer compound delivers tacky, all-weather playability in both wet and dry conditions.
- Midsize Diameter (+1/16"): Slightly larger than standard, reducing grip pressure and promoting a more relaxed, tension-free swing.
- Strategic Tread Pattern: Engineered surface texture with variant pressure points ensures non-slip performance and consistent power transfer.
- High Shock Absorption: Soft polymer construction absorbs vibration at impact for comfortable, pain-free playability even on mishits.
- Medium Firmness, Moderate Texture: Balanced feel that is soft enough for all-day comfort without sacrificing control or feedback.
- Tapered Profile: Standard tapered shape compatible with irons, hybrids, and fairway woods.
- Dark Grey Colorway: Clean, understated finish that pairs well with virtually any clubhead aesthetic.
Technology in Detail
WinnLite — Ultralight Construction
The WinnLite concept is Winn's answer to golfers who want maximum feel from the clubhead without the deadening effect of a heavy grip. At just 23 g, the Dri-Tac Lite is engineered to be 40–50% lighter than the original Dri-Tac series. A lighter grip lowers the overall weight of the club and shifts the balance point toward the head, which increases perceived clubhead speed and sharpens tempo awareness. For players who struggle with timing or who want to feel the club working throughout the swing, this weight saving is immediately noticeable. The result is cleaner feedback, more fluid tempo, and improved ball-striking consistency.
WinnDry Polymer — All-Weather Tackiness
At the heart of every Dri-Tac grip is WinnDry polymer — a proprietary material that Winn has refined over decades as the pioneer of polymer golf grips. Unlike traditional rubber, WinnDry maintains its tack regardless of moisture levels, meaning your hands stay locked to the grip whether it is raining, humid, or blazing hot. The material is uniquely formulated to deliver an exceptional combination of slip resistance and comfortable feel without requiring a glove. As conditions change during a round, the WinnDry surface continues to perform, giving you confidence in every swing from the first tee to the last green.
Strategic Tread Pattern & Pressure Points
The surface of the Dri-Tac Lite is not smooth — it features a carefully engineered tread pattern with variant pressure points highlighted by the grip's silver piping detail. These pressure zones guide your hands into a consistent, repeatable position at address and promote even pressure distribution across all fingers during the swing. The moderate texture level is deliberate: enough bite to prevent twisting under load, but refined enough that it never feels abrasive even after hours of play. This balance of grip security and comfort is what sets the Dri-Tac Lite apart from both slick polymer grips and overly aggressive cord-hybrid designs.
High Shock Absorption for Comfortable Play
Winn's polymer construction delivers high shock absorption that outperforms conventional rubber grips in vibration dampening. Every off-center strike sends an unwanted pulse through the shaft and into the hands; the Dri-Tac Lite's soft polymer layer intercepts and dissipates that energy before it reaches your palms and fingers. This is particularly beneficial for golfers dealing with hand sensitivity, arthritis, or conditions such as tennis elbow or carpal tunnel syndrome. By reducing repetitive impact stress, the Dri-Tac Lite allows for more comfortable, extended rounds and encourages a lighter, more tension-free grip pressure that promotes a smoother, more powerful swing.

Installation Note
Winn Dri-Tac grips must be installed using the traditional method with grip tape and solvent. They are not compatible with the air-compressor installation method. Use standard 2" double-sided grip tape and an appropriate grip solvent for best results. If you are unsure about the installation process, we recommend having the grip fitted professionally.
Has Your Grip Lost Its Feel?
Time for a regrip! A fresh grip completely transforms the feel of a club in your hands — it can make an old iron set feel brand new and restore the confidence you had when the clubs were first fitted. Grip performance degrades over time due to UV exposure, sweat, and general wear; most tour professionals change their grips several times per season. As a rule of thumb, recreational golfers should regrip at least once a year, or after approximately 40 rounds of play.
