Technology in Detail

Precision Technology

Callaway's Precision Technology represents a fundamental advance in golf ball manufacturing. By achieving the tightest possible tolerances between every layer — core, mantle, and cover — the process ensures that each ball performs identically to the next. The result is a ball that is consistently faster through the bag, with no weak spots or dead zones that rob you of distance or feel. Every component and construction element has been refined so that the Chrome Soft delivers the highest possible quality, shot after shot, round after round.

Hyper Elastic SoftFast Core

At the heart of the Chrome Soft Truvis is the new Hyper Elastic SoftFast Core, engineered to generate maximum energy at impact for higher ball speeds off the driver. The core's advanced compression and material properties are calibrated to provide the best balance of long distance and genuinely soft feel — so you gain yards off the tee without sacrificing the responsive touch you need for precise approach shots and delicate chips around the green. This dual character — fast yet soft — is what makes Chrome Soft the ball of choice for a wide range of players.

Seamless Tour Aero (Hex Tour Aero Dimple Design)

The Tour Aero aerodynamic package uses a seamless Hex dimple pattern that has been specifically optimised to match the launch characteristics of the Chrome Soft ball. This uniquely designed aerodynamic system produces a consistently high ball flight with low spin from iron shots, ensuring stable carry in crosswinds, headwinds, and a wide range of atmospheric conditions. From impact to downrange landing, the Tour Aero keeps your ball on the intended flight window — reducing variation round to round and helping you plan your approach with greater confidence.

Ultra-Soft Urethane Cover and Greenside Control

Chrome Soft's premium ultra-soft urethane cover is engineered to create high spin and a soft, responsive feel on short-game shots. When you need to stop the ball quickly on a firm green or play a delicate flop over a bunker, the urethane cover grips the grooves of your wedges to generate the stopping power you need. At the same time, it contributes to the signature Chrome Soft feel that golfers describe as one of the best in the game — a sensation that is firm enough for confident iron play yet buttery soft at the putter face.

Truvis Czech Flag Pattern — Visibility and Focus

The Truvis pattern was created to maximise a golfer's view of the ball throughout the entire shot — from the moment of address through flight and into the roll on the green. The distinctive geometric shapes in Czech flag colours (white, red, and blue) make it immediately obvious when the ball is spinning, how fast it is rolling, and exactly where it comes to rest. This enhanced visual feedback helps you build better awareness of your ball flight tendencies and speeds up pre-shot alignment on the tee or green. Beyond performance, the bold Czech Flag design is a proud on-course expression of national identity for Czech golfers and fans of the Czech Republic.

Who Is Chrome Soft For?

Chrome Soft is designed for a wide range of golfers who want outstanding feel, excellent distance, and incredible forgiveness in a single ball. Whether you are a mid-handicapper looking to improve your scoring or an experienced player who demands Tour-level performance, Chrome Soft delivers on every front. Key performance characteristics include the signature Chrome Soft feel off every club, more distance off the tee, low-spinning iron shots that fly high and land softly, and a high level of greenside spin and control. The three-piece construction makes it one of the most versatile golf balls in the Callaway range.
