Description
Daphne's driver headcover, Gopher
Straight from the USA, the Daphne's Gopher Driver Headcover is one of the most recognisable and beloved animal headcovers on the course. Born from a tradition that dates back to 1978 — when Daphne and her daughter Jane literally invented the animal headcover — this fun, lifelike Gopher design has made golfers smile on fairways and tournament bags around the world ever since. Whether you're a Caddyshack fan or simply want to stand out from the crowd, the Gopher is a perfect companion for your driver and a guaranteed conversation starter at the first tee.
- Universal Driver Fit: Specially sized to accommodate all driver heads up to 460cc, fitting virtually every modern driver on the market.
- Premium UV-Resistant Faux Fur: Crafted from soft, weather-resistant faux fur that retains its vibrant, lifelike colours even after prolonged exposure to sun and rain.
- Plush Interior Lining: A fully lined interior cushions your clubhead against scratches, dings, and rattling during transport and on the course.
- Easy Slip-On Design: The oversized plush opening slips on and off effortlessly, so it never slows down your pre-shot routine or pace of play.
- Extra-Strong Stitching: Every headcover is sewn with thread four times stronger than standard garment thread, ensuring the seams hold up round after round.
- Lifelike Gopher Character: Detailed, realistic design with a golf ball accessory included — a nod to the iconic Caddyshack gopher that has become a golf culture classic.
- Lifetime Guarantee: Every Daphne's headcover has been guaranteed for life since 1978 — if anything goes wrong, the brand will repair or replace it.
- Seen on PGA & LPGA Tour Bags: Widely used by touring professionals, Daphne's headcovers have been on the bags of 200+ touring pros worldwide.
Maximum Driver Protection
The oversized plush body wraps snugly around driver heads up to 460cc, shielding the clubface and crown from scratches, knocks, and moisture during play and transit. The fully lined interior provides a cushioned layer of protection that keeps your driver looking brand new round after round. The easy slip-on, slip-off design means the cover is never left behind — it goes on and comes off in a single smooth motion without disrupting your rhythm on the tee.
UV-Resistant Premium Faux Fur
Daphne's headcovers are made from premium, soft faux fur engineered to resist fading in sunlight. The UV-resistant material holds its vivid, lifelike colours season after season, even when your bag spends long hours on a sunny course or stored in a warm car boot. The result is a headcover that looks freshly bought long after it has been in regular use — no bleaching, no matting, no deterioration.
4× Stronger Stitching & Lasting Durability
Every Daphne's headcover is sewn with thread that is four times stronger than the thread used in standard clothing, so the seams, ears, and character features stay firmly in place however rough the journey. Combined with the durable faux-fur outer, this construction ensures the headcover withstands years of daily on-course use without fraying or falling apart. Daphne's has stood behind this quality with a lifetime guarantee since the very first headcover was made in 1978.
Iconic Gopher Character & Golf Culture Heritage
The Gopher is more than a headcover — it is a tribute to one of golf's most beloved pop-culture moments. Inspired by the mischievous groundskeeper nemesis from Caddyshack, this lifelike Gopher character comes complete with a golf ball accessory, making it instantly recognisable to golfers of every generation. It is the perfect way to personalise your bag, raise a smile on the first tee, and show off a little personality without saying a word.
