GORE-TEX Waterproof Protection

The ECCO Biom H4 integrates 100% waterproof GORE-TEX technology directly into the upper construction, creating an impenetrable barrier against rain, dew and wet rough. The GORE-TEX membrane is fully breathable, meaning moisture from perspiration is actively expelled outward while water is blocked from getting in. This ensures your feet remain dry and comfortable from the first tee to the 18th green regardless of course conditions. The combination of ECCO leather and GORE-TEX results in a shoe that performs as well in wet weather as it looks on a dry day.

BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® Technology

BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® is ECCO's proprietary biomechanical platform that places the foot as close to the ground as possible through an anatomically shaped last. This lower, more natural foot position promotes a more efficient and stable golf posture, improving weight transfer and balance throughout the swing. The technology supports the natural flex and movement of the foot, reducing fatigue over an 18-hole round. By mimicking the sensation of barefoot movement within a structured golf shoe, BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® delivers a uniquely connected feel underfoot that distinguishes ECCO footwear from conventional designs.

ECCO MTN GRIP Outsole

The ECCO MTN GRIP outsole is engineered specifically for golf performance, dividing the underfoot platform into three functional zones that each address a different biomechanical demand. The heel zone provides firm anchoring at address and impact, the midfoot zone delivers torsional rigidity during the downswing, and the forefoot zone supports push-off and rotational momentum through the follow-through. Strategically placed grip lugs bite into turf without the need for traditional screw-in spikes, making this outsole equally suited to the golf course, the clubhouse and casual wear. The result is a versatile, high-performance sole unit that excels across all course conditions.

X-TENSA INVISIBLE TECHNOLOGY

X-TENSA INVISIBLE TECHNOLOGY is an internal structural chassis that runs through the midsole, connecting the outsole unit to the lace system without any visible external element. This hidden connection creates a dynamic tensioning effect when the laces are tightened: as you lace up, the entire shoe wraps more uniformly around the foot, distributing hold evenly from heel to toe. The outcome is a more secure, locked-in fit that reduces unwanted foot movement inside the shoe during the rotational forces of the golf swing. By keeping the technology internal, ECCO maintains the clean, minimalist aesthetic of the Biom H4 upper.

ECCO FLUIDFORM™ Direct Injected Construction

ECCO FLUIDFORM™ is a direct-injection manufacturing process in which the midsole material is injected and bonded directly onto the upper and outsole in a single step, eliminating the need for adhesives. This results in a midsole that is precisely and uniformly shaped to support the anatomical contours of the foot, providing a natural, responsive cushioning feel that is consistent from heel to toe. The bond created by FLUIDFORM™ is also structurally stronger and more durable than traditional glued constructions, ensuring the shoe maintains its shape and performance properties over thousands of steps. The PU midsole with TPU side inserts adds lateral stability and a snug, supportive cradle for the foot.

OrthoLite® Removable Insole

The ECCO Biom H4 is fitted with a removable OrthoLite® insole, one of the golf industry's most trusted cushioning platforms. OrthoLite® open-cell foam delivers lasting shock absorption and pressure distribution, remaining resilient round after round without the compression set that affects many standard foam insoles. The open-cell structure also promotes airflow beneath the foot, reducing heat build-up and moisture retention for a fresher in-shoe environment. Because the insole is fully removable and machine washable, it can be cleaned or replaced easily, extending the hygienic lifespan of the shoe. Golfers who use custom orthotics can also remove the OrthoLite® insole to accommodate their own devices.
