AMOLED Display
The Approach S70 features an extra-bright, ultra-readable 1.2-inch AMOLED colour touchscreen with a resolution of 390 × 390 pixels. The display brings your course maps and performance data to life with vivid colours and sharp contrast, even in bright sunlight. An optional always-on mode keeps essential information visible at a glance during your round, while gesture-activation in smartwatch mode helps preserve battery life when you are away from the course.
43,000 Preloaded Courses
With more than 43,000 full-colour CourseView maps loaded directly on the watch, you have access to courses all over the world — from your local club to international destinations. Each map is a fully vectorised, detailed layout of fairways, greens, hazards and targets. Free automatic updates via the Garmin Golf app ensure your course data is always current, so you can focus entirely on your game.
Enhanced Virtual Caddie
The upgraded Virtual Caddie analyses wind conditions, altitude, your historical swing data and course layout to recommend the ideal club for every shot. A new shot dispersion scatter chart instantly visualises the potential hazards you may encounter when playing a particular club, so you can make smarter, more confident decisions on every tee and fairway. This feature genuinely replicates the guidance of an experienced caddie right on your wrist.
Improved PlaysLike Distance
Raw yardage numbers only tell part of the story. The enhanced PlaysLike Distance feature calculates what each shot truly plays like once elevation change and current weather conditions are factored in. Uphill holes play longer, downhill holes play shorter, and wind affects the ball — the Approach S70 accounts for all of this so that the club you select is always the right one for the actual conditions on the ground.
Green Contour Data
Take the guesswork out of your approach and putting game with Green Contour data for selected courses. A detailed contour map of each green is available directly on the watch, helping you visualise the slopes and break lines before you arrive at the green. Plan your ideal landing zone for the approach shot and read the putt more accurately to lower your score. An active Garmin Golf™ subscription is required to access this feature.
Versatile Sports Tracking
