The magnetic force has been significantly strengthened compared to the previous COOLSHOT 50i model, giving you greater peace of mind when the device is clipped on. Simply detach it before a shot, take your measurement, and snap it back into place in one smooth motion. There is no need to search for somewhere to stow the rangefinder during play or practice — it is always within arm's reach.*
Measurements are brilliantly visible on the vivid internal OLED display, which renders bright red numerals and characters that are effortless to read under any lighting conditions — bright sunshine, overcast skies, or low morning light. The display brightness can be adjusted in multiple steps to match the ambient light level, ensuring the readout is never washed out or too dim. The large, bold characters mean distances register at a glance, so you spend less time squinting through the eyepiece and more time focusing on your shot.
Two measurement modes help you make the right club selection on every shot. In Slope (Golf) Mode, ID (Incline/Decline) Technology calculates the gradient between you and the target and displays both the slope-adjusted distance and the actual line-of-sight distance simultaneously in the viewfinder — so you always know what compensated yardage to play. When the slope function must be disabled for competitive play, simply press the mode selection button to switch to Actual Distance Mode.
