The Golf Pride MCC™ (New Decade® MultiCompound) is the #1 grip series worldwide — a proven hybrid design that fuses the control of cord with the comfort of premium rubber in a single, tour-tested grip. Engineered for golfers who demand consistent performance in every condition, the MCC delivers firm, confident control in the upper hand and responsive feel in the lower hand, round after round. Available here in the Midsize format with a bold blue colourway, it is a natural upgrade for irons, hybrids, and woods.
The MCC™ (New Decade® MultiCompound) concept was born from the idea that the upper and lower hand have fundamentally different needs during the swing. Rather than compromising with a single material, Golf Pride engineered two distinct zones from two distinct compounds. The upper hand zone — where the gloved hand grips the club — uses a stiff, textured cord material that locks into the glove for a secure, non-slip connection. The lower hand zone uses a smooth, pliable rubber that communicates every nuance of the clubhead to the bare hand. The result is a grip that delivers the best of both worlds: control and feel, working together rather than against each other.
Golf Pride's proprietary Brushed Cotton Cord technology is woven throughout the upper hand section of the MCC grip. The fine cotton fibres act as a natural moisture-wicking layer, drawing sweat and rain away from the interface between glove and grip. Even in humid summer conditions or during a downpour, the cord texture remains firm and tacky, preventing the micro-slippage that leads to compensatory grip pressure. Reduced grip pressure means a freer arm swing, more clubhead speed, and a more consistent strike — making the BCT upper hand a genuine performance upgrade, not merely a comfort feature.
The lower half of the MCC grip is moulded from a precisely formulated high-performance rubber compound. Softer and more pliable than the cord upper section, this rubber transmits vibration and feedback directly to the trailing hand — the hand that most tour players rely on for feel around the greens and through impact. The tactile quality of the rubber lower section enables golfers to sense exactly where the clubface is pointing and how solidly ball contact was made, without any dampening or deadness. For approach shots, chip shots, and full iron swings alike, the rubber lower hand provides the sensory information needed to make instinctive adjustments shot after shot.
Across both zones of the MCC, Golf Pride has applied a pebbled surface texture combined with distinctive plus-sign (cross) micro-patterns. This surface geometry dramatically increases the contact area between the grip and the golfer's hand, creating more friction points per square centimetre than a plain rubber grip surface. In practice, this means the club stays securely in the fingers under centrifugal force during the downswing, and the golfer can maintain a lighter, more relaxed grip — a key factor in generating consistent lag and clubhead speed. The pattern is consistent across the entire grip, ensuring the same tactile feedback whether the hand is positioned at the top or the bottom of the grip.
