Description
Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G grip, Midsize
The Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G in Midsize Black (Round 0.60) is a modern, one-piece simulated wrap grip that masterfully bridges the gap between old-school aesthetics and contemporary performance. Its highly tacky, soft rubber construction delivers an outstanding feel and a secure hold in any weather condition, while the classic wrapped silhouette pays tribute to the timeless look of traditional leather grips. As Golf Pride's tackiest grip model, the Tour Wrap 2G is purpose-built for golfers who refuse to compromise between elegant style and professional-grade reliability. The Midsize (.60 RND) sizing makes it an ideal choice for players seeking a slightly larger diameter for reduced hand and wrist tension throughout a full round.
Key Features
- Maximum Tackiness: Golf Pride's tackiest grip model, delivering an exceptionally secure connection between hands and club in all conditions.
- One-Piece Simulated Wrap Design: A single-piece construction replicates the classic look and feel of traditional wrapped leather grips with modern materials.
- Soft, High-Tack Rubber Material: Enhanced softness and tackiness provide a comfortable, responsive feel that reduces grip pressure and hand fatigue.
- Small Dot Surface Pattern: A fine dot texture across the surface improves traction and assists with moisture management during play.
- Midsize (.60 RND) Profile: Round core with a 0.60-inch core diameter in the larger Midsize profile, ideal for players needing a fuller grip for better control.
- Lightweight at 58 g: At just 58 grams, the grip maintains excellent swing balance without adding unnecessary weight to the club.
- Tour-Proven Heritage: Part of the Tour Wrap family trusted by PGA Tour professionals, combining proven performance with a classic wrapped aesthetic.
- Suitable for Irons, Hybrids & Woods: Designed to perform equally well across all club types including irons, hybrids, and fairway woods.
Technology in Detail
High-Tack Rubber Compound
The Tour Wrap 2G uses Golf Pride's highest-tack rubber formulation — the same compound that makes it the brand's tackiest grip model. This advanced rubber ensures your hands lock onto the club at address and stay connected through impact, even under pressure or in wet conditions. The enhanced tackiness allows golfers to maintain a lighter, more relaxed grip pressure, which translates to freer swing motion and more consistent ball-striking. The material's inherent softness further amplifies feedback, letting you feel the clubhead through every stage of the swing.
One-Piece Simulated Wrap Construction
Unlike true multi-piece wrapped grips, the Tour Wrap 2G achieves its characteristic wrapped appearance through a single-piece moulded design. This construction replicates the elegant diagonal ribbing of classic leather wraps while eliminating the structural inconsistencies that can arise from multi-piece assembly. The result is a grip that looks and feels like a premium leather wrap but delivers the durability, consistency, and performance that only modern high-tack rubber can provide. Golfers who grew up playing with wrapped leather grips will immediately appreciate the familiar aesthetic — with a significantly improved performance profile.
Fine Dot Surface Texture
A subtle yet effective small dot pattern covers the outer surface of the Tour Wrap 2G, providing an additional layer of traction beyond the grip's already impressive inherent tackiness. This micro-textured surface creates multiple contact points across the palm and fingers, helping to channel away moisture and maintain a stable, non-slip interface between glove and grip. The texture is deliberately kept light so it does not cause discomfort or abrasion during extended rounds, making it equally suitable for casual play and competitive rounds. In wet or humid conditions, the dot pattern continues to deliver reassuring traction where cord or aggressive textures might feel harsh.
Midsize (.60 RND) Profile
The Midsize (.60 RND) sizing option is designed for golfers whose hand measurements or personal preference call for a diameter slightly larger than standard. Fitting a properly sized grip reduces the tendency to over-grip the club, helping relax the wrists and forearms for a smoother, more repeatable swing. The Round (RND) core profile provides an even, symmetrical feel across all hand positions, making it straightforward to install and re-grip at any angle. Players with medium-large to large hands — or those who find standard grips cause excess tension — will find the Midsize profile particularly beneficial for consistency and comfort over 18 holes.
