The Mizuno M.CRAFT X B6 is a premium fanged mallet putter that unites precision forging with unparalleled customisability — engineered for golfers who demand the perfect balance of feel, forgiveness, and adaptability on every green. The B6 designation refers to the sixth head shape in the M.Craft X family: a distinctive fang-style mallet with two wings running perpendicular to the face, creating a high-MOI, ultra-stable head that still delivers the responsive feedback of a classic blade. The B in the model code stands for Bend Neck (single bend hosel), making this configuration ideally suited to a moderate arc putting stroke with full-shaft-plus offset. Includes a matching headcover.
The face and neck of the M.CRAFT X B6 are forged together from a single billet of 1025 soft carbon steel — a material and process that Mizuno has refined over more than a century of metalworking expertise. Forging compresses the grain structure of the steel, producing a denser, more consistent material that transmits impact energy with pinpoint accuracy. The result is an exceptionally soft, muted feel at impact with outstanding feedback, so you immediately know whether you have struck the ball from the centre or the toe. This level of tactile communication is rare in mallet-style putters and is the foundation of the M.Craft X experience.
Building on Mizuno's proven deep-face-milling technology used in the M.Craft and M.Craft OMOI putter lines, the M.CRAFT X B6 face is precision CNC-milled after forging to achieve an extraordinarily consistent surface texture. The deep milling grooves grip the ball at impact to impart immediate forward topspin, eliminating the skid phase and producing a truer, more predictable roll across the full length of the putt. Consistent milling depth across the entire face also means that speed control remains uniform whether you strike the ball from the sweet spot or slightly toward the heel or toe — a critical advantage for distance regulation.
The rear body of the B6 is milled from aerospace-grade aluminium, dramatically reducing the mass at the back of the head and repositioning it where it matters most. The lightweight aluminium back allows Mizuno engineers to push the centre of gravity shallower and closer to the face — the hallmark characteristic of a blade putter — while the larger, fang-shaped head profile simultaneously maximises the moment of inertia (MOI). The two perpendicular fang wings extend the mass distribution wide and deep, making the B6 exceptionally stable on off-centre strikes and resisting the twisting that costs amateurs crucial distance and directional accuracy.
The M.CRAFT X platform redefines what putter customisation means: three interchangeable neck styles (Plumber's Neck for a straighter stroke with more offset, Slant Neck for an arcing stroke with less offset, and Bend Neck as on this B6 model for a moderate arc with full-shaft-plus offset), three back shapes (Four, Five, and Six profiles with different alignment aids and visual footprints), and interchangeable sole weights available in 7 g, 14 g, and 21 g pairs to dial in head weight and swing tempo precisely. All components can be reconfigured quickly without specialist tools, allowing you to build a fully personalised setup — or adapt to a new stroke pattern — without purchasing an entirely new putter.
A defining engineering achievement of the M.CRAFT X series is the dynamically shallow CG — positioned remarkably close to the face for a head of this size. This is made possible by the multi-material construction: heavy 1025 steel is concentrated at the face and hosel where feel and energy transfer are paramount, while the lightweight aluminium back removes mass from the rear without reducing head size. The shallow CG creates a swing weight and pendulum feel virtually identical to a compact blade putter, giving players the control and arc awareness they associate with a traditional blade — yet the head's larger footprint and high MOI provide the forgiveness of a modern mallet on every stroke.
Mizuno was founded in 1906, and the M.CRAFT X range pays tribute to that heritage in a refined, modern way. The Lamkin M.Craft X Sink Fit grip is decorated with a distinctive mosaic pattern inspired by 1906 — the year Mizuno was established — rendered in a contemporary colourway that complements the putter's sleek finish. This same mosaic motif is carried through to the matching premium headcover included with every M.CRAFT X B6, creating a cohesive, collectible aesthetic. The grip's Sink Fit profile also delivers an ergonomic shape that promotes consistent hand placement and a smooth, repeatable stroke tempo.
