At the heart of the Spider ZT Max is a construction philosophy refined over years of Tour development. Four heavy steel and tungsten corner weights frame a low-density, aerospace-grade aluminum body. This multi-material design pushes mass to the perimeter, maximizing the moment of inertia (MOI) across the entire head — delivering exceptional resistance to face twist on any strike.
The KBS Custom Graphite shaft in the CB model is bored directly in line with the putter’s centre of gravity, producing a 2° shaft lean and 34 mm of onset behind the face. This toe-up orientation at address minimizes face rotation during the stroke, reduces the need for hand manipulation, and promotes consistent end-over-end roll.
The Counterbalance configuration uses a 155 g KBS Custom Graphite shaft and an elongated SuperStroke grip to shift the putter’s balance point into the upper portion of the club. The practical effect: reduced grip pressure, quieter hands and forearms, and a stroke that feels more pendulum-like and deliberate. The head weighs 398 g to compensate for the heavier shaft.
