The TaylorMade Spider ZT Max is the next evolution of the celebrated Spider Zero Torque family — built for recreational golfers who want maximum forgiveness, effortless alignment, and a point-and-shoot stroke that simply works. Taking the original ZT design and scaling it up by 20%, TaylorMade pushed MOI to approximately 7,000 g/cm², making the ZT Max one of the highest-MOI putters ever offered at retail. Whether you struggle with face rotation, inconsistent roll, or simply want more confidence over every putt, the Spider ZT Max delivers the stability and consistency to make more putts.

Ultra-High MOI (~7,000 g/cm²): A head 20% larger than the original ZT-5K, with four heavy steel and tungsten corner weights, pushes mass to the extremes for exceptional off-center stability and forgiveness.
Zero Torque (ZT) Shaft Design: The shaft is bored directly toe-ward near the CG with 2° of forward shaft lean and 34 mm of onset behind the face, creating a toe-up orientation that minimises face rotation throughout the stroke.

Zero Torque Technology

The defining innovation of the Spider ZT Max is its zero-torque shaft configuration. The KBS shaft is bored directly in line with the centre of gravity with a 2° shaft lean and 34 mm of onset behind the leading edge. This produces a toe-up orientation at address that keeps the face squarer to the target line throughout the entire putting motion — reducing torque, minimising the need for compensatory hand manipulation, and producing a more consistent, repeatable stroke for golfers of all skill levels.

Maximum MOI Architecture

Where the original Spider ZT earned its «5K» badge for ~5,000 g/cm² MOI, the ZT Max pushes that figure to approximately 7,000 g/cm² in standard configuration. This is achieved by enlarging the overall head footprint by 20% and strategically positioning four heavy steel and tungsten corner weights around an aerospace-grade aluminum body. The result is extreme perimeter weighting that dramatically reduces the effect of off-centre strikes, giving every golfer a more forgiving, stable putting experience.

Pure Roll™ Insert

TaylorMade's renowned Pure Roll™ insert is at the heart of the ZT Max's performance. The black insert is crafted from a proprietary blend of Surlyn and aluminum, combining softness with structural integrity. Milled True Path™ Alignment

Building on a Spider staple, the ZT Max reimagines True Path™ Alignment with precision-milled lines on the 303 stainless steel face.
