The TaylorMade Tour Response Neon Stripe golf balls combine soft feel and Tour-level performance with a uniquely vibrant Neon Stripe design that improves alignment and makes ball rotation instantly visible. Built with Tour-quality materials including a Speed Wrapped Core, SpeedMantle with High-Flex Material, and a 100% cast urethane cover, the 2025 Tour Response Stripe delivers explosive distance from the tee and exceptional greenside control. This is the ideal ball for golfers of all abilities who demand Tour performance with a soft, confident feel — and the visual precision to dial in every putt.
Debuted in TaylorMade's flagship TP5 and TP5x, the Speed Wrapped Core has now been brought to the Tour Response for the first time in the 2025 model. The technology reduces the density of the core material, which simultaneously dampens the sound at impact and fosters a faster ball construction for enhanced ball speed and greater distance off the tee. The result is a ball that feels meaningfully softer than its 70-compression rating might suggest — because feel and compression are effectively decoupled. According to TaylorMade's Global Senior Category Director for Golf Balls, the Speed Wrapped Core "offers more speed and more feel within a single product."
Surrounding the Speed Wrapped Core, the SpeedMantle layer is engineered from a High-Flex Material that acts as a reactive interface between the core and the cover. At impact, the HFM allows the ball to stay in contact with the clubface slightly longer, a phenomenon that promotes both higher ball speed for added distance and an enhanced soft feel through the hands. This intermediate layer is the reason the Tour Response can deliver Tour-style performance without a hard, high-compression feel — it bridges power and softness in a single construction.
The Tour Response Stripe's defining feature is its 22 mm wide 360° ClearPath Alignment band that wraps completely around the equator of the ball. In the 2025 edition, TaylorMade collaborated with industry leaders in ink and print technology to create a proprietary neon digital ink — a first in the golf industry. The ink incorporates fluorescent additives that are premixed into the printing process using proprietary equipment, producing a stripe that is dramatically more vibrant than any previous generation. On the putting green, the band helps golfers aim faster, more accurately, and more consistently, while also delivering immediate visual feedback on roll quality after the stroke.
The Tour Response Stripe's outer cover is made from 100% cast urethane — the same premium material found on balls used by Tour professionals. Unlike ionomer covers found on distance balls, cast urethane is a softer material that allows wedge grooves to grip and load the ball's surface at impact, generating high wedge spin and precise control on pitch shots, chips, and bunker plays. The soft material also contributes to the ball's overall feel profile, complementing the soft-compression core for a consistently pleasant sensation across all clubs. Durability is maintained thanks to the robust urethane compound used in the casting process.
The 2025 Tour Response inherits the same dimple pattern that has been used on the TP5 and TP5x since 2021 — TaylorMade's most refined aerodynamic design. Each dimple is precisely engineered to minimize aerodynamic drag throughout the ball's flight arc, reducing the peak height where drag is highest and sustaining a more penetrating, stable trajectory into the landing zone. The pattern performs consistently in crosswinds and head winds, helping golfers maintain predictable shot shapes and distances regardless of conditions. This is the same aerodynamic technology that Tour players trust every week on the world's toughest courses.
The three-layer architecture of the Tour Response Stripe is central to its ability to deliver Tour performance at an accessible price point. The three-piece build allows TaylorMade's engineers to independently optimize each layer — core for speed and sound, SpeedMantle for energy transfer, and urethane cover for spin and feel — without compromising any one property for another. The compression rating of 70 places the ball firmly in the "soft" category, making it particularly well-suited for golfers with moderate swing speeds who want to maximize launch ease, carry distance, and greenside feel in a single ball.
