The UL7 set is the seventh generation of the celebrated Ultralight club line developed by U.S. Kids Golf — one of the world's leading specialists in junior golf equipment. Engineered specifically for beginner to intermediate young golfers aged around 6 years and measuring between 114 and 122 cm (45–48 in.) tall, this four-club stand set gives young players everything they need to start their golf journey the right way. Every element — from shaft flex and swing weight to clubhead loft and size — has been precisely optimised to help the developing player launch the ball into the air with ease, build consistent swing mechanics, and grow in confidence on the course.
The UL7-45 W25 set features club heads that are 25% lighter than standard adult clubs, meaning young players can generate clubhead speed naturally without overexerting themselves. The K-Flex graphite shafts are tuned to a junior-specific flex (J-Flex) that maximises energy transfer and promotes an upward ball flight — a key factor for developing players who are still building swing speed. As the player progresses and improves, additional clubs are available separately to expand the set, so the investment grows with the child.
U.S. Kids Golf built the entire UL7 line around one guiding principle: clubs must fit the child, not the other way around. The UL7-45 is engineered exclusively for players standing 114–122 cm (45–48 in.) tall, with every measurement — club length, lie angle, shaft weight, and clubhead loft — calibrated to that specific height range. Properly fitted clubs help young players build correct technique from the very beginning, forming good habits that carry forward as they grow. Choosing the right size is the single most important decision in junior golf equipment, and the UL7 system makes that straightforward.
The W25 designation means these club heads are 25% lighter than a standard adult club head of the same type. This is not a cosmetic reduction — it is a carefully engineered weight that allows a young player with limited physical strength to swing the club at an appropriate speed and still generate a consistent, repeatable ball flight. Heavier clubs cause junior players to compensate with poor technique; the W25 heads remove that problem entirely. The result is better contact, more distance for their size, and a much more enjoyable experience on the course.
The K-Flex graphite shaft is U.S. Kids Golf's proprietary junior shaft, tuned to a flexibility profile that matches the swing speed and tempo of a developing young player. Graphite construction keeps the overall club weight low and reduces vibration at impact, while the specific flex profile encourages an upward ball flight — one of the most common challenges for beginner juniors transitioning from casual play to proper golf. Every club in the set (with the exception of the Sandhills Putter, which features a steel shaft) uses the K-Flex graphite shaft, ensuring consistent feel and performance across the bag from the first swing.
Within each UL7 size, every element — from swing weight to shaft flex — is engineered to work together as a unified system rather than as a collection of individual clubs. This means the feel and performance ratio is consistent across the 3 Wood, 7 Iron, Pitching Wedge, and Putter, helping young players build a repeatable swing motion that transfers naturally between clubs. U.S. Kids Golf has used Trackman launch monitor technology to optimise the loft, lie, and shaft profile of each club at each size, ensuring maximum performance for players at their specific stage of physical development.
The included black and blue stand bag is designed to match the scale and weight requirements of a junior golfer. The dual shoulder carry straps distribute the bag's weight evenly across both shoulders, making it comfortable for a young player to carry their own clubs around a full course. The integrated stand legs deploy automatically when the bag is set down, keeping the clubs accessible and off the ground at all times. A dedicated ball pocket is also available for personalisation, encouraging a sense of ownership and pride in the equipment. The bag's compact, lightweight design ensures it never feels like a burden — even for the youngest golfer.
The UL7-45 4-club set is the ideal starting point, but U.S. Kids Golf has designed the Ultralight system to grow with the player. As a young golfer's game develops and they begin to need more variety in their bag, additional clubs — including a 21° Driver, 4 Hybrid, 9 Iron, and Sand Wedge — are available for purchase separately or may be obtained through the 6th Club Free Program. This modular approach means parents do not need to replace the entire set as their child improves; they simply add the clubs that best match the player's current skill level and course requirements.
