Technology in Detail
UA HOVR™ Technology
UA HOVR™ is Under Armour's signature cushioning platform, engineered to deliver a "zero gravity feel" that maintains energy return and eliminates impact on the joints. The foam is encased in a mesh-like Energy Web that compresses and then releases energy back into your stride, helping to sustain performance over a full 18 holes. This means less fatigue in your feet and lower body, allowing you to maintain your swing mechanics and focus even on the back nine. The result is a shoe that feels as lively on the 18th hole as it did on the 1st tee.
Breathable, Precision-Fit Upper
The upper of the Phantom Fore is crafted from a premium breathable material that promotes airflow around the foot, preventing overheating during warm rounds. The construction is designed to wrap securely around the foot's natural shape, providing an adaptive, glove-like fit that minimises unwanted movement inside the shoe. This secure lockdown translates directly to better energy transfer through your golf swing and improved confidence at address. The combination of breathability and fit makes these shoes equally comfortable during a leisurely practice session or a competitive round.
Enhanced Spikeless Traction Outsole
The outsole of the Phantom Fore features a carefully engineered traction pattern that delivers exceptional grip across turf, paths, and clubhouse floors alike. The spikeless design distributes grip across multiple contact points, providing stable footing during the rotational forces of the golf swing without the need for traditional metal or plastic spikes. The unique lug geometry bites into soft ground while releasing debris easily, maintaining consistent traction throughout your round. This versatile outsole allows you to move naturally from the first tee to the 19th hole without changing footwear.
Waterproof Construction
The Phantom Fore features a waterproof construction that forms a reliable barrier against moisture from wet fairways, morning dew, and light rain. Keeping feet dry throughout a round is critical to comfort and concentration — wet feet can quickly become a distraction and lead to blisters or discomfort over 18 holes. The waterproofing is integrated into the upper construction so it does not compromise the shoe's breathability or flexibility. This makes the Phantom Fore a dependable year-round golf shoe, capable of handling the varied and unpredictable conditions of the golf course.
