ZipCore is Cleveland's low-density core technology at the heart of the CBX4 head. Replacing dense material behind the face with a lighter core lets engineers push weight to the perimeter, lowering and centralizing the center of gravity while significantly raising MOI. The result is a wedge that feels solid on center strikes and stays forgiving when contact drifts toward the heel or toe, keeping distance and spin more consistent shot to shot.
UltiZip is Cleveland's sharpest, most aggressive groove pattern to date. The grooves are cut sharper, deeper, and closer together than on previous CBX wedges, with extra grooves packed into the same face area for more contact with the ball on every strike. Combined with a tour-inspired micro-milled face texture, UltiZip channels grass, sand, and moisture away from the strike zone to protect spin, especially from the rough.
HydraZip is Cleveland's newest face technology, engineered to protect spin in wet conditions. A combination of targeted face blasting and precision laser milling roughens the face at a microscopic level, giving the ball more grip against the face even when the turf, ball, or clubface are damp. Morning dew, rain, and wet greenside lies have less impact on spin and control.
The CBX4 ZipCore uses three different sole shapes - V, C, and S - matched to loft so every wedge in the set is ground for its job. Higher-lofted, lower-bounce V and C soles glide through tight lies and open easily for greenside finesse shots, while the wider S sole adds forgiveness and glide through soft turf and sand on the highest-bounce wedges. The sole shape changes automatically as loft increases, so golfers get the right turf interaction without needing to choose a grind themselves.
