The all-new larger face on each Smart Sole Full-Face model, combined with new all-over full-face grooves, gives you dramatically more striking area compared to the previous generation. You get up to 46% more striking area than the equivalent Smart Sole 4 models — and because the striking area got significantly bigger, MOI increased substantially too. This added MOI delivers greater forgiveness — particularly on toe-side impacts — so off-centre hits stay much closer to the target, reducing costly mishits and giving you more confidence every time you address the ball around the green.
Cleveland has added two new alignment lines at the bottom of the club face to help golfers consistently centre the clubhead behind the ball and keep the face square at impact. For the Smart Sole Full-Face, three different blast media and laser-milled line patterns are applied depending on loft: the Chipper receives a lighter blast and fewer lines for its lower-loft needs; the Gap Wedge gets a slightly rougher blast and more lines; and the Sand and Lob Wedges receive the roughest blast and the most laser-milled lines to increase friction and deliver peak spin consistency at the highest lofts.
UltiZip face technology produces a specialized sequence of sharper, deeper, and tighter grooves that run across the full face to deliver maximum short-game performance at every point of contact.
