How does the RTX 6 ZipCore pack in so much spin? HydraZip is Cleveland's dynamic, laser-milled groove technology, tuned to maximize spin in both wet and dry conditions and from anywhere around the green. The laser treatment roughens the face at a microscopic level to add friction at impact, so spin holds up even when the face, ball, or turf are damp.
Face treatment on the RTX 6 ZipCore is tuned loft by loft, with dedicated groove and laser patterns for the 46-48, 50-52, and 54-60 degree bands. Lower lofts use a finer laser texture, while higher lofts get a coarser texture and extra laser lines, delivering consistent spin on full shots as well as delicate, wet shots around the green.
Cleveland's patented low-density core technology sets the center of gravity exactly where golfers strike the ball. Shifting mass away from the point of impact raises MOI and delivers more consistent performance and forgiveness on off-center strikes, without changing the compact, tour-inspired shape golfers expect from an RTX wedge.
UltiZip equips the RTX 6 ZipCore with a specialized sequence of deep grooves featuring the sharpest groove radius Cleveland has built to date.
