The ECCO Men's Golf BIOM® C4 combines breathable comfort and innovative performance with a contemporary sneaker-inspired aesthetic. To achieve perfect 360° breathability alongside 100% waterproof protection, the GORE-TEX SURROUND® construction is paired with EXHAUST GRID channels that direct airflow towards the underside of your foot. Technology in Detail
GORE-TEX SURROUND® Construction
The GORE-TEX SURROUND® system is the centrepiece of the BIOM C4's weatherproofing and breathability. Unlike conventional waterproof membranes that only protect the upper portion of the shoe, GORE-TEX SURROUND® works in conjunction with the EXHAUST GRID channel system to create a 360-degree ventilation pathway that reaches the underside of the foot. This means warm, moist air is actively channelled away from the foot at the sole level, while the waterproof membrane prevents any moisture from entering. The result is a foot environment that stays dry from rain above and cool from below — an outstanding combination for long rounds in changeable weather.
BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® Technology
ECCO's BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® philosophy is built around the concept of positioning the foot as close to the ground as possible, mimicking the biomechanics of barefoot movement while still providing the protection and performance of a premium golf shoe. By lowering the overall ride height and engineering the outsole to work with the natural flex points of the foot, this technology promotes a more intuitive, stable stance at address and through the swing. ECCO MTN GRIP Outsole
Borrowed from ECCO's outdoor and trail footwear expertise, the MTN GRIP outsole is engineered specifically for the demands of the golf course. It is divided into three functional zones: a traction zone that grips the turf at the heel and toe for sure-footed walking on all terrains; a stability zone through the midfoot that provides a firm, balanced platform; and a rotational support zone beneath the ball of the foot that allows the natural rotation of the swing without slipping. The spikeless lugs are designed to be aggressive enough for wet fairways and slopes while remaining clean and comfortable on clubhouse floors and hard surfaces.
ECCO FLUIDFORM™ Direct Comfort
ECCO FLUIDFORM™ is a proprietary direct-injection midsole technology in which the cushioning compound is moulded directly onto the upper, creating a seamless bond between the midsole and the shoe structure. This eliminates the need for adhesive layers and reduces unnecessary weight, while delivering a remarkably responsive, lightweight feel underfoot. The FLUIDFORM™ compound provides multi-directional cushioning to absorb the impact of walking 18 holes, springy energy return with each step, and a flexible ride that bends naturally with the foot. The combination of comfort and performance makes the BIOM C4 an ideal choice for golfers who demand comfort throughout an entire round.
ECCO Performance Leather & Sock-Fit Mesh Upper
The upper of the BIOM C4 is a thoughtful combination of two premium materials. ECCO Performance leather, tanned at ECCO's own tanneries to exacting standards, provides durability, structure, and a refined appearance. This is paired with a new super-elastic, sock-like mesh construction that wraps the foot in a snug, adaptive embrace — reducing internal movement, eliminating pressure points, and delivering a glove-like fit that many golf shoes simply cannot match. The hybrid upper is lightweight without sacrificing protection, and the mesh panels enhance airflow throughout the shoe structure. The result is a shoe that looks like a premium sneaker but performs like a serious golf shoe.
Removable Insole for Custom Width Fit
The BIOM C4 includes a premium removable insole that serves a dual purpose.
