The upper is crafted from premium Prohide leather, offering outstanding durability, easy maintenance, breathability, and a supple, broken-in feel from the very first wear. A lightweight foam midsole absorbs impact at every step and reduces foot fatigue during long rounds, while the moulded EVA Fit-Bed® insole provides dedicated arch support and long-lasting cushioning underfoot. Swing stability is delivered by a durable outsole fitted with replaceable Pulsar LP cleats, secured by the Fast Twist 3.0 system for a firm, consistent grip across all turf conditions.

Premium Prohide Leather Upper
The Prohide leather used on the FootJoy Traditions upper is a refined full-grain material selected specifically for golf footwear. It resists moisture penetration when walking through morning dew, wet fairways, or light rain, keeping your feet dry and comfortable throughout the round. The leather remains supple and flexible even in cooler conditions, and its smooth grain surface wipes clean with minimal effort after play. Over time, Prohide leather conforms to the natural shape of your foot, improving the personalised fit and feel with every wear.
Lightweight Foam Midsole
The foam midsole integrated into the Traditions is engineered to be exceptionally light while still providing meaningful cushioning at every step. It compresses under impact to absorb the shock generated during a full swing follow-through and during prolonged walking, dramatically reducing foot and leg fatigue across 18 holes. Despite its low weight, the midsole maintains structural integrity and does not pack out or lose its cushioning properties over the life of the shoe, making it a reliable foundation for consistent comfort round after round.
Moulded EVA Fit-Bed® Insole
The high-density moulded EVA Fit-Bed® insole is contoured to match the natural profile of the foot, providing targeted support under the arch and heel where fatigue most commonly builds. EVA foam is chosen for its excellent resilience — it returns to its original shape after compression, ensuring the same level of cushioning on hole 18 as on hole 1. Laser Street Fit Last
The Laser Street Fit last gives the Traditions a toe box that is fully rounded for natural toe splay, a standard-width cut across the forefoot and instep to accommodate a broad range of foot shapes, and a slightly tapered heel for a secure, locked-in feel during the swing. This fit profile strikes a balance between the relaxed comfort of a casual shoe and the precise hold expected from a performance golf shoe. The result is a shoe that feels natural during the walking portions of a round while still delivering the support needed at impact. A wide-fit variant is also available for golfers who require additional room across the instep.
Pulsar LP Cleats with Fast Twist 3.0
The outsole of the Traditions spiked version is fitted with Pulsar LP replaceable cleats, installed using FootJoy's Fast Twist 3.0 system. The Fast Twist mechanism allows cleats to be changed quickly without specialist tools — simply twist to remove and replace when cleats wear down, extending the useful life of the shoe. The lower-profile cleat design reduces the torque felt through the sole during the swing, which translates to more consistent cleat engagement and improved ground contact. Pulsar LP cleats are compatible with most standard cleat wrenches and replacement cleats are widely available.
