Description
Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G grip, standard, blue
The Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G is a modern, one-piece simulated wrap grip that combines the timeless aesthetic of classic leather wrap grips with the advantages of today’s high-tack rubber compounds. Designed for irons, hybrids, and fairway woods, it delivers exceptional feel and a confident hold in all weather conditions — making it a favourite choice among golfers who value comfort, precision, and reliable traction throughout every round. With a modernized look, enhanced tackiness, and an even softer material compared to its predecessor, the Tour Wrap 2G is equally at home in the hands of a weekend club golfer and a seasoned tournament player.
- One-Piece Wrap Construction: A single-piece, simulated wrap design replicates the diagonal texture of hand-wound leather grips for that classic old-school look and feel.
- Highest-Tack Rubber: Golf Pride’s tackiest grip model, delivering a secure, confident connection to the club in both dry and wet conditions.
- Soft Material Feel: Softer rubber formulation provides superior comfort and vibration absorption, reducing hand fatigue over a full round.
- Ergonomic Profile: Encourages a natural, neutral hand position to reduce wrist and forearm tension and promote a freer, more repeatable swing.
- Small Dot Surface Pattern: A light surface texture with a fine dot pattern adds an extra layer of traction while maintaining the clean, wrap-style aesthetic.
- All-Weather Performance: The rubber compound maintains consistent tackiness regardless of temperature or humidity, with no maintenance required.
- Compatible with Irons, Hybrids & Fairway Woods: Suited to all short- and mid-iron applications as well as hybrids and fairway woods.
- Standard Size: The universal standard diameter suits a wide range of hand sizes and is the most popular fit for men’s glove sizes S through M/L.
- 0.600″ (60 Round) Core: Standard core size for straightforward installation on both steel and graphite shafts with a standard butt diameter.
- Lightweight at 48 g: Low weight preserves the natural swing weight and feel of the club without adding unnecessary mass.
Technology in Detail
Wrap-Style Construction
The Tour Wrap 2G takes its design cue from the timeless leather wrap grips that defined the game for generations. The surface pattern mimics the diagonal texture of a hand-wrapped leather grip, delivering that classic look and feel that many golfers find reassuring at address. Unlike traditional leather, however, the modern rubber compound ensures consistent performance regardless of temperature or humidity, and requires absolutely no maintenance to keep its properties intact season after season. The result is a grip that looks like a classic wrap but performs like a modern high-tech rubber compound — the best of both worlds.
Enhanced High-Tack Surface
The Tour Wrap 2G is confirmed by Golf Pride as their tackiest grip model in the entire lineup. The enhanced tackiness of the rubber compound is one of its most distinguishing characteristics, keeping the grip surface adhesive in both dry and wet conditions and giving you the confidence to hold the club firmly without gripping too tightly. A relaxed grip pressure is key to a fluid, powerful swing, and the Tour Wrap 2G’s tacky surface makes that easier to achieve by preventing any sense of slippage even during aggressive downswings or in damp, rainy weather. A quick wipe with a damp cloth easily restores the surface should dirt or dust accumulate over time.
Soft Feel & Vibration Comfort
Crafted from a softer rubber formulation, the Tour Wrap 2G absorbs vibration and transmits a pleasing, muted feedback through impact. This softness translates directly into comfort during long rounds, reducing hand fatigue and making it easier to maintain consistent grip pressure from the first tee to the final putt. The balance between softness and durability is carefully calibrated so that the grip retains its shape, tack, and structural integrity over an extended period of use — the synthetic rubber compound is known to resist hardening over time, maintaining its performance properties well into the grip’s lifespan.
Ergonomic Profile for Natural Hand Alignment
The Tour Wrap 2G features an ergonomically shaped profile that encourages a neutral, natural hand position on the club. By supporting the correct placement of both hands, the grip helps reduce unnecessary tension in the wrists and forearms, which in turn improves the repeatability of your swing motion and promotes a freer, more controlled release through the ball. Golfers who struggle with inconsistent ball-striking often find that a more comfortable, better-fitting grip makes a meaningful difference to both accuracy and distance. The reduced taper design further supports even grip pressure in both the top and bottom hand throughout the swing.
