Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G grip, standard, white
The Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G Grip is a modern, one-piece grip that blends the timeless retro look of classic leather wrap-style grips with the contemporary performance of a soft, highly tacky rubber compound. Engineered for golfers who refuse to compromise between classic aesthetics and modern playability, the Tour Wrap 2G delivers outstanding feel, reliable control, and all-day comfort in a clean white colourway. It is an excellent choice for players who demand consistent grip pressure in varying weather conditions and want equipment that looks as refined as it performs.
Key Features
- Highest-tack compound: Golf Pride's tackiest rubber formulation provides an immediate, confident connection to the club from the first swing to the final hole.
- One-piece wrap-style construction: Seamless moulded design replicates the classic look of traditional leather wrap grips without the weak points of multi-piece builds.
- Standard size, 0.600" (60 Round) core: Compatible with the majority of golfers and standard shaft butt diameters, serving as the benchmark reference for the Tour Wrap range.
- Fine dot surface texture: All-over micro-dot pattern increases surface contact area to enhance traction and channel away perspiration or light rain.
- Balanced, comfortable hold: Uniform feel from top to bottom of the grip promotes a relaxed, repeatable swing without the need to apply excessive grip pressure.
- Wide club compatibility: Suitable for irons, hybrids, and woods, making it a versatile single-grip solution across the full set.
- Tour-proven design: The Tour Wrap 2G has been played at the highest level on the PGA Tour alongside other Golf Pride performance models, validating its real-world credentials.
- Weight: 55 g — a well-balanced weight that does not alter the feel of the club head.
Technology in Detail
Soft, Tacky Compound for Superior Feel
The Tour Wrap 2G is built around Golf Pride's highest-tack rubber — officially the tackiest compound the brand produces across its entire swing grip range. This soft, high-tack material keeps the club securely anchored in your hands from the opening tee shot right through to the last putt, without requiring you to squeeze the club tightly. The reduced grip pressure that results from exceptional tackiness promotes a freer, more relaxed arm and wrist action, which in turn supports a more consistent and repeatable swing. Critically, the compound retains its performance characteristics across a wide spectrum of temperatures and humidity levels, making it equally dependable in the heat of a summer afternoon or the chill of an early spring morning.
One-Piece Wrap-Style Construction
Traditional leather wrap grips are built from strips of material wound around the handle — a method that, while iconic in look, can introduce inconsistencies, seams, and weak points along the grip surface. The Tour Wrap 2G achieves the same heritage aesthetic through a seamless, one-piece moulded construction that eliminates all of those potential failure points. The result is a perfectly uniform feel from the top of the grip to the bottom, with no dead spots or variations in diameter. This manufacturing approach also means the Tour Wrap 2G is significantly more durable than a traditional wrap, while delivering the same premium, hand-finished appearance that discerning golfers associate with the leather grips of a bygone era.
Fine Dot Surface Texture for Traction and Moisture Control
The outer surface of the Tour Wrap 2G features a subtle, all-over micro-dot pattern that significantly increases the total contact area between your glove (or bare hand) and the grip. More contact area means more friction and better traction at every point in the swing arc — from address through impact and into the follow-through. The dot geometry also serves a moisture management function: the micro-channels formed between the raised dots help to displace sweat or light rainfall away from the contact zone, maintaining a secure hold even when conditions deteriorate. Golfers who play in humid climates, enjoy early-morning rounds with dew on the fairways, or simply run warm hands will particularly appreciate this functional surface engineering.
Standard Core Size — The Universal Fit
This listing features the Tour Wrap 2G in Standard profile with a 0.600" (60 Round) core diameter — the most widely fitted grip size in golf, compatible with the vast majority of steel and graphite shafts produced to standard butt specifications. The Standard circumference delivers a balanced, neutral feel in both hands, suiting players who neither require the reduced taper of an undersized grip nor the additional bulk of a midsize or oversize option. Selecting the correct grip size is one of the most impactful yet often overlooked elements of equipment fitting: too thin and the hands become overactive; too thick and feel and feedback are muted. The Standard Tour Wrap 2G represents the ideal starting point for any fitting conversation, and serves as the benchmark reference across the entire Tour Wrap product range.
