Mizuno is synonymous with unrivalled craftsmanship and innovation, and the JPX 925 Forged irons embody that philosophy in full. Introduced alongside the striking JPX 925 Black, this set pairs cutting-edge engineering with the unmistakable Mizuno feel the brand has built its reputation on for decades. Designed for the modern golfer, the JPX 925 Forged delivers explosive ball speed and forgiveness in the long irons together with precise control in the scoring clubs, setting a new performance standard among forged irons.
At the heart of the JPX 925 Forged irons is the CORTECH Design, built around a revolutionary Contour Ellipse Face. This advanced, variable-thickness face optimizes ball speed across the entire hitting area, delivering explosive performance and forgiveness even on off-center strikes. It combines the forgiveness of Mizuno's Hot Metal series with the refined feel of a one-piece forged iron, and its complex geometry required entirely new manufacturing methods to achieve such precision and tolerance.
The JPX 925 Forged is produced using Mizuno's proprietary Grain Flow Forged HD process at the brand's renowned factory in Hiroshima, Japan. The long irons, 4 through 7, are forged from Chromoly 4120, prized for its exceptional strength and malleability, enabling higher ball speeds and easier fitting adjustments. The short irons, 8 through GW, are forged from 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel for outstanding control, precision and the soft feel Mizuno players expect. Together these materials create a seamless transition of feel through the whole set.
Mizuno's Triple Cut Sole is engineered to improve turf interaction and versatility on every lie. A gently beveled leading edge gives a clean entry into the turf, while a hard, sharply cut trailing edge allows a smooth exit through impact. The carefully balanced sole geometry gives golfers confident control across a wide range of surfaces and conditions.
The JPX 925 Forged is available for the first time in two distinctive finishes. Traditional Satin Chrome offers the classic Mizuno look favored by purists, while the Forged Black option brings a modern, low-glare surface for golfers who want a bolder, contemporary appearance. Both finishes are forged and machined to the same exacting Mizuno tolerances.
The JPX 925 Forged family is the perfect blend of speed, precision and feel. Whether you choose the classic Satin Chrome for a traditional look or the modern confidence of Forged Black, the JPX 925 Forged is built to meet the demands of every modern golfer and to redefine what a forged iron can do.
