The Mizuno JPX 925 Hot Metal Pro redefines the performance of an already industry-leading franchise. Combining the power and speed of Nickel Chromoly 4335 with a newly engineered CORTECH Design featuring a Contour Ellipse face strike zone, the consistency of distance across the entire impact zone has never been so long and predictable. The addition of tungsten weighting, positioned low in the head, introduces a height and landing angle element that makes hitting precise approach shots into greens easier than ever before. Designed for golfers who prefer a more compact profile and reduced offset, the Hot Metal Pro delivers the same advanced technology as the standard Hot Metal — but in a sleeker, more refined package that commands confidence at address.
At the heart of the JPX 925 Hot Metal Pro lies a completely re-engineered multi-thickness face profile — the CORTECH Design. The Contour Ellipse geometry is specifically shaped to push face thickness to its structural limits, with the face thinning down to 30% thinner than the previous generation. This engineering allows the face to flex more efficiently at impact, enhancing centre ball speed and ensuring consistent distance retention across the entire striking zone. The result is a face that is both longer and more forgiving than anything Mizuno has previously engineered in the Hot Metal franchise.
The Seamless Cup Face is a one-piece construction that extends the flex zone around the entire perimeter of the clubhead. By thinning the face material through 360 degrees of the club's edge, Mizuno dramatically increases the rebound area, generating maximum ball speed not just at centre but across the entire face. This construction means even off-centre strikes deliver superior distance and carry, giving golfers the confidence to swing freely knowing the face is working for them on every shot.
Tungsten is strategically positioned low in the clubhead of the 4–7 irons, deliberately lowering the centre of gravity below and behind the face. This low CG placement produces a higher launch angle off the face while simultaneously steepening the landing angle, so shots hold their line and stop closer to the target on the green. The precision of this multi-material construction gives mid-handicap golfers a genuine shot-stopping capability that was previously the preserve of tour-level players.
The JPX 925 Hot Metal Pro head is forged from Nickel Chromoly 4335, a high-strength alloy that combines exceptional hardness with the malleability needed to create an ultra-thin, high-energy clubface. This material is 35% stronger than Mizuno's original Hot Metal alloy, enabling the engineers to thin the face further than ever before without compromising structural integrity. Complementing the material is Harmonic Impact Technology — a fine-tuned head geometry that controls vibration and acoustic feedback so every well-struck shot delivers the pure, satisfying feel that Mizuno irons are famous for worldwide.
