Technology in Detail

Breathable Performance Mesh Upper

The Fresh Foam ROAV features a high-performance mesh upper engineered to maximise airflow and keep your feet cool throughout the round. The lightweight construction reduces fatigue on long walking rounds, while the structured fit provides lateral support during the swing. The upper conforms naturally to the shape of your foot, delivering a sock-like fit that feels secure without unnecessary bulk. This combination of breathability and structure makes the shoe equally suitable for warm summer rounds and more temperate conditions.

Intelligent Spikeless Rubber Outsole

The spikeless rubber outsole is engineered with strategically positioned traction lugs that provide reliable grip on fairways, rough, and wet grass, without the need for traditional metal or plastic spikes. This intelligent outsole design means the shoe transitions seamlessly from the golf course to the clubhouse, car park, or casual setting without discomfort or damage to indoor flooring. The durable rubber compound ensures long-lasting traction across a variety of course conditions and terrains.

Fresh Foam® Midsole with 10 mm Drop

At the heart of the Fresh Foam ROAV is New Balance's acclaimed Fresh Foam® midsole technology, delivering ultra-cushioned underfoot comfort with every step. The precisely engineered foam geometry absorbs impact effectively and returns responsive energy, reducing fatigue during long rounds on foot. The 10 mm heel-to-toe drop promotes a natural walking gait and balanced weight distribution throughout the swing, contributing to both comfort and stability. This midsole platform has been refined across multiple generations of New Balance athletic footwear, bringing running-shoe comfort to the golf course.

CUSH+® Removable Insole

The CUSH+® insole provides an additional layer of cushioned comfort directly underfoot, complementing the Fresh Foam® midsole for a plush, supportive feel. The removable design allows you to replace the insole with a custom orthopaedic insert if required, making the shoe a practical choice for golfers with specific foot-support needs. The CUSH+® foam formula is engineered to maintain its cushioning properties over extended use, so comfort does not degrade round after round. This thoughtful insole solution reflects New Balance's commitment to performance footwear for all-day wear.
