This next-generation Forward Roll Design groove is deeper and more aggressive than previous Odyssey groove patterns. Set at a 19° slope, the FRD groove works in direct conjunction with the dual-layer insert to improve forward roll both up and down the face — meaning the ball transitions from sliding to true end-over-end roll almost immediately after impact.
