Why Ultra-Light?

Driver engineering has long required a trade-off: you could have high MOI (forgiveness) or low CG (ball speed and launch), but not both at their peak simultaneously. The Qi35 Max Lite breaks that compromise by starting with an ultra-light platform. By reducing the total club weight by over 35 grams versus the Qi35 Max, TaylorMade allows golfers — particularly those with moderate or senior swing speeds — to generate meaningfully higher clubhead velocity. More speed means more distance, without requiring any change in technique.

Carbon Twist Face — 4th Generation

The face of the Qi35 Max Lite is made from carbon fibre using TaylorMade's fourth-generation Carbonwood manufacturing process. Carbon is significantly lighter than titanium, which means weight traditionally locked in the face can be freed and redistributed to where it does the most good: low and deep in the head. The "Twist" element of the design means the face is engineered with variable loft angles across different zones — more loft towards the toe and heel, less towards the high-center — to compensate for the gear effect and deliver straighter, more consistent ball flight regardless of where on the face the ball is struck.

Symmetric Inertia Generator

Located on the sole at the rear of the head, the Inertia Generator is TaylorMade's signature weight system. In the Qi35 Max Lite, it houses a symmetric 24-gram tungsten weight — one of the densest metals available — positioned as far back as possible. This maximises the driver's MOI (moment of inertia), meaning the face resists twisting at impact, keeping the ball on line even on off-centre hits. The symmetric placement ensures balanced performance across the full face width.

Thru-Slot Speed Pocket™

The Speed Pocket is a precisely engineered channel cut into the sole just behind the face. At impact, the face flexes and the Speed Pocket allows the lower section of the face to flex more freely, effectively expanding the high-speed zone of the face downward. The practical result is that low-face strikes — the most common miss-hit location for amateur golfers — lose far less ball speed than they would from a conventional face design.

Infinity Carbon Crown

The Qi35 Max Lite's crown is constructed almost entirely from carbon composite — TaylorMade's "Infinity" crown design that wraps the carbon material edge-to-edge with minimal metallic border.
