Qi4D driver heads are TaylorMade's fastest and most fittable head lineup yet. Every head in the Qi4D range uses a multi-material construction, a confidence-inspiring aerodynamic shape developed through hundreds of advanced simulations, a reworked face design, and effective weight adjustability. The starting point for Qi4D was engineering head shapes that maximized aerodynamic efficiency while presenting a confidence-inspiring profile at address. Each head in the lineup was developed to provide the perfect balance of inertia and speed to help golfers swing the club faster and hit the ball farther. Combined with TaylorMade's revolutionary REAX shaft-fitting technology — optimized for the way you deliver the club at impact — you can unlock maximum speed and forgiveness on off-center hits, right where you need it most off the tee.
The Qi4D features a new and improved roll radius that tightens spin rates across different vertical impact locations on the face, resulting in greater consistency between strikes made high and low on the face. Typically, shots struck low on the face see higher-than-optimal spin, while high-face strikes can see lower spin than intended — the reengineered roll radius corrects for both, keeping spin far more consistent for more distance on every drive.
On top of that, 60X Carbon Twist Face technology — now in its fifth generation — adds corrective curvature with less loft in the heel and more loft in the toe, helping heel and toe strikes stay more on-line and reducing downrange dispersion on longer shots. The carbon face also saves significant weight compared with a titanium face, and that saved mass is redistributed throughout the head to enhance speed, stability, and CG position. The redesigned cut-through Speed Pocket, optimized via finite element analysis, further protects ball speed and reduces spin on low-face strikes.
The Qi4D head is equipped with four movable Trajectory Adjustment System (TAS) weights (2×9g / 2×4g), giving you the most mass-efficient weight adjustability for optimized ball flight and spin. Whether you want to reduce launch for extra distance, increase MOI for greater forgiveness, or dial in a fade or draw bias, the four-weight TAS system covers every preference with precision.
A 4-degree loft sleeve adds a further level of loft, lie, and face angle adjustability — allowing adjustments of up to +/- 2 degrees — to fine-tune ball flight without changing shafts. Players seeking the most precise head data can upgrade to the LME head, fitted with reflective markers compatible with GC Quad launch monitors, available as an upgrade option for the most data-driven fitting experience.
Front: For extra distance. Positioning both heavy weights toward the front lowers spin and reduces launch angle, promoting more roll and additional carry distance.
Back: For extra forgiveness. Moving both heavy weights to the back increases MOI, giving greater stability and tighter dispersion on off-center hits throughout the round.
Fade: For a slight fade bias. Placing both heavy weights toward the toe introduces a gentle fade bias to the ball flight, ideal for players who want to work the ball left-to-right.
Draw: For a slight draw bias. Placing both heavy weights toward the heel promotes a subtle draw bias, helping players who tend to miss right get the ball back on the fairway.
