Thanks to the highest total moment of inertia (MOI) ever built into a PING driver, the G440 K is PING's straightest and most forgiving driver yet, while also delivering higher ball speed and an adjustable center of gravity for greater distance. Weight savings in the carbon crown and sole allow for a lower, deeper center of gravity, unlocking ball speed gains and a record-setting MOI that leads to longer, straighter shots.
Best suited for:
The Dual Wrap carbon construction and Free-Hosel technology save weight across the sole, crown, and hosel area. That saved mass is repositioned lower and deeper in the head to unlock ball speed gains and record-setting forgiveness. The result is a driver that keeps performing even when contact is not perfectly centered on the face.
The forged T9S+ face is thinner and features a dual-radius profile that optimizes spin and increases ball speed across the entire hitting area. This face design is engineered to keep ball speed high even on strikes away from center. The payoff is more consistent distance on both flush and mis-hit shots.
A 32-gram, high-density tungsten rear weight can be set to one of three positions - Neutral, Draw, or Fade. Shifting the weight moves the center of gravity to optimize ball speed, launch angle, and spin for the shot shape you need. It is a simple way to counteract a slice or a hook without changing your swing.
Weight removed from a section of the hosel is redistributed lower in the head, creating the lowest center of gravity yet in a PING driver. Positioning the CG closer to the impact line helps unlock more distance and greater forgiveness for finding fairways. It is one of the key engineering changes behind the G440 K's record MOI.
A confidence-inspiring shape gives the G440 K one of PING's largest front-to-back profiles yet, maximizing forgiveness on mis-hits. Turbulators on the crown smooth airflow over the head, cutting drag through the swing. Less drag translates directly into more usable clubhead speed at impact.
A composite crown bridge with internal ribs bonded to the crown and sole refines the acoustics at impact. The result is a more muted, solid sound instead of a harsh, tinny crack. Golfers get feedback that matches the club's forgiving, powerful performance.
The lightweight, 8-position adjustable hosel lets a fitter fine-tune loft by up to 1.5 degrees and lie by up to 3 degrees flatter than standard. Small adjustments here can correct a launch angle or spin issue without a full re-fit. It is the final tuning step after the CG Shifter sets the base trajectory.
