Lift your launch window with the GT1 Fairway. As Titleist's highest-flying fairway metal, the GT1 is engineered for moderate swing speed players who want easy launch and effortless distance from the fairway or the tee. Focused on higher flight and aerodynamic speed, it combines a shallower face profile, ultra-lightweight construction, and the deepest CG placement in the entire GT fairway lineup. New adjustable fore/aft weights give golfers and fitters precise control over ball speed, launch angle, and spin — so every swing produces the performance you need.
With the lightest construction in the entire GT fairway lineup, the GT1 is built to help moderate swing speed players swing faster and fly farther from the fairway. The ultra-lightweight setup — featuring a lightweight shaft and grip — reduces overall club weight to promote effortless clubhead acceleration through the hitting zone. The result is faster ball speed, a higher trajectory, and greater distance without extra effort. Players can also choose a standard-weight build if they prefer the GT1's launch and shaping in a more traditional configuration. The GT1 is the only fairway in the GT lineup available with both ultra-lightweight and standard-weight options to suit a wider range of players.
The GT1 Fairway features the deepest center of gravity position across the entire GT fairway lineup, combined with maximized inertia for improved stability and a higher launch angle on every strike. The shallower face profile works in tandem with this CG placement — by reducing face height, Titleist engineers were able to drop the CG even lower in the clubhead than would otherwise be possible. This dual approach produces a dynamically playable fairway that is easy to launch from both the fairway turf and the tee, with a consistent ball flight that players of all skill levels can rely on.
New to GT1 fairways are the Dual Performance Control Settings, featuring adjustable fore/aft flat-weights that give fitters and golfers direct control over ball flight and launch conditions. The system uses an 11-gram heavier weight and a 3-gram lighter weight that can be swapped between the forward and aft sole positions. Setting the heavier weight in the aft position increases MOI, stability, and launch angle — ideal for players seeking maximum height and forgiveness. Moving the heavier weight forward delivers faster ball speed and lower spin — a setup preferred by players who want a more penetrating flight from the fairway. Consumer testing by Titleist revealed that approximately 60% of players preferred the heavy weight aft, while 40% preferred it forward — confirming that having both options makes a genuine difference in fitting. Note: the adjustment wrench is not included with the club.
To extract every ounce of performance from the GT1 Fairway, Titleist engineers pursued every possible gram of weight savings throughout the clubhead. The redesigned internal hosel is a key part of this effort — by optimizing the internal structure, Titleist achieved subtle but meaningful mass reductions that translate into sizable performance benefits on every swing. The freed-up weight is redirected to optimize the club's mass properties, contributing to the GT1's exceptionally deep CG placement and high-MOI profile. The external look and feel at address remain clean and familiar, ensuring full confidence over the ball.
The GT1's shallower face profile is a key design element that serves two important roles: it improves playability from a wide range of lies, making it easier to get the ball airborne whether sitting up on short grass or sitting down in the rough — and it enables Titleist's engineers to position the CG significantly lower in the clubhead. Lower face height means less material high in the head, freeing mass to be placed low and deep where it promotes the highest, most forgiving launch. The result is a fairway wood that inspires confidence at address and delivers consistent, high-flying performance from virtually any position on the course.
The GT1 Fairway's seamless thermoform crown uses advanced polymers with tunable acoustic properties, allowing Titleist engineers to achieve meaningful material gains while preserving the signature solid sound and feel that Titleist is known for. The crown construction contributes to the club's ultra-lightweight profile without compromising structural integrity or acoustic quality. Players who pick up a GT1 will notice a clean, satisfying impact sound that provides excellent feedback on every shot — reinforcing confidence and helping golfers understand how well they've struck the ball.
