Technology in Detail

DD1 Blade Head — Distance & Direction

The DD1 putter head is engineered around two fundamental green-reading skills: distance control and directional accuracy. The classic blade silhouette with an Anser-style plumber's neck is one of the most trusted designs on tour, offering clean sightlines at address and a natural feel through impact. The familiar shape helps young golfers build confidence and develop a repeatable stroke routine. Clean, refined lines combined with the tour-proven brushed satin finish ensure the putter sits squarely and inspires trust every time you step up to the ball.

431 Stainless Steel Construction

The head is cast from 431 stainless steel — a premium, corrosion-resistant alloy that provides a firm yet pleasurable feel at impact. The brushed satin surface finish reduces glare in bright sunlight so you can focus on your line without distraction. The 365 g head weight is intentionally elevated compared to lighter junior clubs, because a heavier putter head provides the mass needed for consistent pendulum-like strokes and better distance calibration. This is the same principle used by tour professionals when selecting their putter weight.

CNC Milled Face with Grooves

The striking surface is precision-machined using CNC milling technology, ensuring a perfectly flat, consistent face angle across every single putter produced. Milled grooves across the face promote a smooth, forward-rolling ball flight from the very first moment of contact — reducing skid and helping the ball stay on your intended line. This level of face precision is typically found only in premium adult putters, making the DD1 an exceptional developmental tool for serious junior competitors.

3/4 Toe Hang — Optimised for Arc Strokes

The DD1's 3/4 toe hang is calibrated for players who use a naturally open-to-closed arc putting stroke — the most common stroke pattern among junior and adult golfers alike. When the shaft is balanced at the 3/4 toe hang position, the face naturally opens on the back swing and closes through impact, working in harmony with the player's natural motion rather than against it. This biomechanical match between stroke style and putter design translates directly into more centre-face hits, tighter distance control, and fewer three-putts.

TS5-63 Size Fitting — 160–167 cm Players

U.S. Kids Golf uses a scientifically validated height-based fitting system. The TS5-63 size is precisely engineered for players measuring 160–167 cm (63–66 in.) tall with shoes on. The 32 in. (81 cm) finished length positions the junior golfer's eyes directly over the ball, promotes a natural spine angle, and encourages a correct shoulder-driven pendulum stroke. Choosing the right putter length is one of the single biggest factors in a junior golfer's green performance — and this club takes the guesswork out completely.

Mid-Oversize Putter Grip

The size-matched mid-oversize grip is a critical performance feature, not just a comfort accessory. An oversized paddle-style grip reduces the hands' and wrists' tendency to twist or flip through the stroke, encouraging the larger muscles of the shoulders and arms to do the work. The cross-pattern surface texture creates a consistent, non-slip hold in all weather conditions, while the tacky polyurethane outer layer provides a comfortable, confidence-inspiring feel. The grip is proportionally sized to a junior hand, ensuring the fitting is complete from head to grip.
