The centrepiece of the 606 is Wilson's Zero Torque Technology, which strategically positions the centre of gravity (CG) directly under the central shaft axis. This precise CG placement dramatically reduces torque — the twisting force that causes the face to rotate open or closed during the stroke. By keeping the face square to the target for longer throughout the putting motion, the 606 promotes a purer, more consistent ball start on every putt. Wilson's double-milled face pattern is engineered to deliver a consistently true roll, shot after shot. The 606 head is manufactured using Metal Injection Molding (MIM), an advanced production process that enables extremely detailed and highly precise head shaping that traditional casting methods cannot replicate. The 606 is fitted with a midsize, multi-textured, no-taper grip that plays an active role in the Zero Torque system. The generous grip diameter reduces the tendency for the hands and wrists to rotate during the stroke, helping to keep the face stable throughout the motion. The varied surface texture improves grip security in all conditions, while the uniform no-taper profile ensures consistent pressure from top to bottom of the grip. At approximately 104 grams, the heavier grip also increases the overall club's moment of inertia for a more controlled, quieter-hands putting stroke.
The shaft is engineered with 1° of forward lean, carefully calibrated to promote correct hand positioning at address without creating an awkward feel.
