UA Swing Support System (S3)
The UA Swing Support System is the central architecture of the Drive Pro Wide shoe. It integrates intelligent directional traction, a dual-density foam platform, and a structured lacing system into one cohesive framework. Each element works together to ground your stance, support your weight transfer, and help you generate maximum clubhead speed. The result is a shoe that actively contributes to swing mechanics rather than simply protecting your foot.
Swing Support Strap & Reinforced Upper
The Swing Support Strap works in conjunction with structural reinforcement woven through the microfibre upper to create a biomechanically correct lockdown of the foot during the swing. This prevents unwanted lateral movement inside the shoe at impact, keeping your foot in the optimal position for power transfer. The reinforced construction also adds long-term durability without adding unnecessary weight to the shoe.
UA HOVR™ Energy Return & Charged Cushioning®
Under Armour's HOVR™ foam technology is engineered to virtually eliminate energy loss by returning energy to your foot with every step and swing. Paired with the supportive Charged Cushioning® layer, the midsole guides the natural biomechanical movement of the foot through the backswing, downswing, and follow-through. Together these two cushioning technologies provide a lively yet stable platform that reduces fatigue across 18 holes.
Under Armour S3 Spikes
The new Under Armour S3 spikes were co-developed with Softspikes® and a specialist golf biomechanist to deliver revolutionary directional traction. Each spike is angled and profiled to grip the turf during both the rotational forces of the swing and the forward momentum of the walk, providing grip precisely where and when you need it. The spike configuration also ensures cleaner turf interaction, reducing the build-up of mud and debris on the outsole.
Advanced Outsole Design
The outsole of the Drive Pro Wide goes beyond the spikes themselves. Strategic flex grooves are positioned to allow the forefoot to bend naturally during the walking gait, reducing strain on the foot. Secondary traction zones between the spikes provide additional grip on firm ground or hard surfaces around the course. TPU side panels reinforce the perimeter of the outsole, offering extra lateral support at the moment of impact when forces are at their greatest.
Waterproof Microfibre Upper
The breathable microfibre upper is constructed around a fully waterproof membrane that keeps your feet dry in wet conditions on the course.
