Description

Cobra OPTM Ladies Hybrid + Headcover

The Cobra OPTM Ladies Hybrid is a modern, purpose-built rescue club designed to be the most reliable go-to option in your bag. Whether you need to launch the ball effortlessly into the air, maintain a stable ball flight, or hit a green from longer distances, the OPTM hybrid delivers. Compared to long irons, it is significantly more forgiving, performs better from difficult lies, and provides consistent distance even on off-centre strikes — making it the ideal replacement for 3–5 irons.

Key Features

  • Easy Launch — optimised design gets the ball airborne quickly with a stable, high-carry trajectory.
  • High Forgiveness — stable head construction forgives off-centre strikes and reduces dispersion in distance and direction.
  • Versatility from Any Lie — performs confidently from the fairway, light rough, and challenging lies where long irons and fairway woods struggle.
  • Consistent Ball Speed — optimised face construction promotes efficient energy transfer and stable performance across the entire face.
  • OPTM Stability Philosophy — the entire OPTM line is tuned for repeatability and tighter dispersion, so the ball ends up where you aim more often.
  • Ladies-Specific Setup — fitted with a lightweight Ladies-flex graphite shaft and undersize grip, optimised for the female swing.
  • Headcover Included — protective headcover included as standard.
  • Available in 4 Lofts — 4H (21°), 5H (24°), 6H (28°) and 7H (31°) to cover the full long-club range.

Technology in Detail

Easy Launch & High Trajectory

The Cobra OPTM hybrid is engineered to make getting the ball airborne as effortless as possible — a key priority for ladies and moderate swing-speed players. The low, deep centre of gravity encourages a naturally high launch angle, meaning you do not need to help the ball up. The result is a towering, soft-landing trajectory ideal for long approach shots into par-4 and par-5 greens as well as controlled lay-ups. Whether hitting off a tee on a tight driving hole or attacking a green from distance, the OPTM gives you the launch confidence you need.

Forgiving, Stable Head Construction

Mishits happen — especially on longer shots where timing is harder to perfect. The OPTM hybrid's stable head geometry keeps the face square through impact and resists twisting on heel and toe strikes. This means that even when you do not catch the ball perfectly in the sweet spot, the resulting shot still flies on a reasonably straight line with predictable carry. The benefit is reduced dispersion shot after shot, giving you the confidence to commit fully to each swing rather than steering or guiding the club.

Consistent Ball Speed Across the Face

The OPTM face is engineered to promote consistent ball speed whether you strike the centre, the toe or slightly up towards the crown. This optimised face construction maximises energy transfer at impact, reducing the speed penalty on off-centre hits. The practical outcome is more consistent carry distances and better distance control — you know roughly how far each loft will fly, which makes club selection significantly easier during a round. This consistency is especially valuable under pressure, where maintaining predictable yardages gives you a meaningful scoring advantage.

Versatility from All Lies

One of the defining advantages of any hybrid over a long iron is the ability to escape from difficult positions on the course. The Cobra OPTM is designed to perform from the fairway, from light rough, and from trickier lies where the grass is sitting up or slightly against you. The lower leading-edge profile glides through turf and rough rather than digging, encouraging clean contact and a rapid ball departure. This makes the OPTM a genuine rescue club — one you can reach for in challenging situations with real confidence in the outcome.

OPTM Stability Philosophy

The OPTM range is built around a central idea: repeatability. Every design decision — from head shape to centre-of-gravity placement — is aimed at reducing shot-to-shot variation so that the ball lands closer to your target more often. This philosophy of stability and tighter dispersion is what separates the OPTM from more workability-focused hybrids. If you want a club you can rely on to do the same job every time, under any conditions, the OPTM philosophy is designed exactly for you. It is a club that rewards commitment and rewards a consistent swing with consistently good results.

When You Will Appreciate It Most

  • Long approach shots to the green on par-4 and par-5 holes
  • Safe tee shots on tight, narrow holes where accuracy is critical
  • Shots from the rough where you need a quick, clean ball departure
  • Replacing long irons (typically 3–5 iron) in your bag

This hybrid is ideal for:

  • Players looking for an easier, more consistent alternative to long irons
  • Golfers who want stable distance with reduced dispersion
  • Anyone who wants a hybrid that simply works — in everyday play and under pressure
