BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® Technology

At the heart of the ECCO BIOM G5 BOA is the brand's BIOM® NATURAL MOTION® philosophy, rooted in decades of biomechanical research. The shoe is built on an updated BIOM® last specifically shaped to mirror the natural contours of the foot, promoting a gait that is as close to barefoot walking as possible. This results in a more natural, fluid movement through the swing and when walking the fairways. At the same time, the last provides outstanding structural support and lateral stability, keeping your foot locked in position during rotational movements. The end result is a shoe that is equally at home during an 18-hole walking round as it is on a golf buggy.

GORE-TEX Waterproof Breathable Membrane

The ECCO BIOM G5 BOA is equipped with GORE-TEX technology, providing a guaranteed 100% waterproof barrier against rain, dew, and wet rough. Unlike simple water-resistant coatings that degrade over time, the GORE-TEX membrane is a permanent, structural component of the shoe construction. Critically, it is also fully breathable — moisture vapour from the foot is allowed to escape outward, preventing the build-up of heat and sweat inside the shoe. This combination of waterproofing and breathability means your feet remain comfortable and dry throughout an entire round, whatever the weather.

ZARMA-TOUR® Spikes and Hybrid Outsole

The outsole of the BIOM G5 BOA is engineered for tour-level traction. ZARMA-TOUR® spikes — a performance spike system trusted by professionals — are strategically positioned across the outsole to bite into turf at the key pressure points of the golf swing. Surrounding the spike placements, innovative hybrid outsole sections add additional grip from a wider contact patch, working in harmony with the spikes rather than independently of them. The combined system delivers remarkable stability through impact and at the top of the backswing, helping you maintain a solid, grounded base and transfer power efficiently into the ball.

BOA® Fit System

The BOA® Fit System on the BIOM G5 BOA is positioned on the lateral (outer) side of the shoe for a cleaner, more contemporary look compared to traditional tongue-mounted dials. The system uses a stainless-steel lace wire routed through low-friction guides, tensioned by a precision dial that can be adjusted in micro-increments for a truly personalised fit. A single turn of the dial tightens or releases the entire lace system simultaneously, eliminating pressure points and uneven tension. To remove the shoe, simply pull the dial outward and the laces release completely — making the G5 BOA one of the fastest and easiest shoes to put on and take off on the market.

ECCO Performance Embossed Leather and Sport Mesh

The upper of the BIOM G5 BOA combines ECCO Performance embossed leather with sport mesh panelling to create a shoe that looks as sharp as it performs. The embossed leather provides a premium, structured appearance and contributes to the durability and weather resistance of the upper, while the sport mesh zones add lightness and ventilation. OrthoLite® Removable Insole

Inside the BIOM G5 BOA sits an OrthoLite® footbed — one of the most trusted cushioning systems in performance footwear. OrthoLite® foam delivers long-lasting, open-cell cushioning that resists compression fatigue over thousands of steps, maintaining its supportive properties across many rounds of golf. The insole is fully removable, which serves two purposes: it can be taken out for machine washing to maintain hygiene and freshness, and its removal creates additional volume inside the shoe for golfers who require a wider fit or who wish to use a custom orthotic insole.
