Exclusive to the G430 LST, Carbonfly Wrap is an ultra-lightweight composite crown that extends into the heel and toe sections of the skirt. The 8-layer, one-piece composite construction saves four grams compared to titanium and weighs just 11.5g fully installed. The reallocated weight is repositioned low and forward within the clubhead to lower the centre of gravity, increase ball speed, and maximize MOI for greater forgiveness. The composite material also contributes to the driver's refined, pleasing sound at impact.
The G430 LST features a shallower, thinner variable-thickness T9S+ forged face designed to maximize face deflection at impact. The transition design between the face and the body plays a balanced role — saving face weight while simultaneously allowing greater flexing across the hitting surface. The result is explosive ball speed and PING's biggest distance gains to date, even on off-centre strikes, making this one of the most powerful faces in the G430 driver family.
Spinsistency is a variable roll radius technology engineered into the T9S+ face that creates progressively less loft in the lower portion of the face. This design reduces spin on shots struck low on the face — precisely where golfers are most likely to add unwanted spin — while maintaining ball speed across the full face. The outcome is a more consistent, penetrating ball flight and reliably longer drives, shot after shot, regardless of where on the face contact is made.
A 22-gram high-density tungsten weight is positioned at the rear of the clubhead and can be adjusted between three settings — Draw, Neutral, and Fade — influencing shot shape by up to ±7 yards. This allows golfers to dial in their preferred ball flight or counteract an unwanted shot shape before a round. The weight's rear placement also optimizes the centre of gravity depth and contributes to the high MOI of the 440cc head.
PING engineers conducted extensive research into audio frequencies and harmonics to refine the sound profile of the G430 LST. A new internal rib structure was developed alongside increased curvature of the crown, skirt, and sole to fine-tune clubhead frequencies. The combined effect is a deeper, more satisfying sound at impact — moving away from a high-pitched crack toward a controlled, resonant tone that instils confidence through the bag.
The lightweight 8-Lobe Adjustable Hosel provides eight distinct settings to tune both loft (±1.5°) and lie angle (up to 3° flatter than standard). This allows a fitter or the golfer to optimize ball flight for maximum distance and accuracy without changing the shaft. The hosel's aerodynamic design minimizes drag during the swing, ensuring that the adjustability feature does not compromise clubhead speed. Available positions are clearly marked on the hosel for quick, repeatable setup.
