Shaft

PING Z-Z115 Wedge — Steel shaft, Wedge flex (111 g). A low-mid launch profile designed specifically for wedge performance, engineered alongside the Dyla-Grip as part of a complete system. Additional shaft options are available on request, including True Temper Dynamic Gold, Nippon N.S. Pro Modus 3, KBS Tour, PING AWT 3.0, PING Alta CB Blue (graphite), and UST Recoil Dart.

Grip

PING Dyla-Grip — The patented Dyla-Grip is 3/4 in. longer than a standard grip, features a reduced taper, and includes alignment markings for grip position, shaft lean, and face manipulation. These hand-position indicators make it easier to choke down and execute a wider range of shots with greater precision and consistency. The low balance point of the Z-Z115 shaft combined with the Dyla-Grip system delivers improved feel of the club head through impact. The PING Colour Code Chart is a fitting tool used to determine the optimal iron and wedge specifications for each golfer, based on physical measurements (height and wrist-to-floor distance) and swing dynamics. Each colour in the chart represents a specific combination of club specifications, including lie angle and shaft length. Grip size is also an important consideration that should not be overlooked.

• LIE ANGLE: The angle between the shaft and the ground at impact. Lie angle directly affects the direction the ball travels after being struck — an incorrect lie angle can cause shots to miss left or right of the target consistently.
• Shaft Length: Shaft length can influence a golfer's posture, swing plane, and ultimately distance and accuracy. Longer shafts generally produce greater distance but may compromise control, while shorter shafts typically offer better control but may reduce distance.
• Grip Size: Grip size affects comfort, control, and feel. Golfers with larger hands may prefer thicker grips for better control, while those with smaller hands may prefer thinner grips for improved feel and feedback.

By consulting the Colour Code Chart, golfers and fitters can determine the appropriate colour code. For example, a taller golfer with a flatter swing may require a different colour code than a shorter golfer with a more upright swing plane. Note that on the Midnight finish, only 5 colour codes are available, ranging from 2° flat (orange) to 2° upright (green).
